Back in her room, Song Yue was doing her homework when her phone suddenly lit up. Her eyes immediately brightened. She didn't expect Beagle to actually be this useful.
She slipped out quietly and ran toward the back garden.
"I'm here," Bi Ge's voice sounded from the shadows.
Song Yue followed the sound and saw him standing outside the railing. "Why did you take so long? I'm sleepy," she complained.
"The shop I went to was closed," he explained. "I had to go farther to find an open one. Why do you want this, anyway?"
"To sleep, obviously," Song Yue replied.
"To sleep?" Bi Ge was confused, but he still passed the small box through the railing.
Song Yue took it and gave it a shake.
"Don't shake it!" Bi Ge said hurriedly. "Be careful."
"Oh, stop being so timid," she scoffed, clutching the box. "Alright, you can go. I'll transfer the money to you later."
Bi Ge hesitated, his face slowly turning red. He then took out a gold-leaf rose and handed it to her. "This is for you, too."
