Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Arrival

It was just a normal day. Morning was fresh and welcoming. Somewhere in Zurich, a group of people wearing white and red coloured clothes. Their dresses resembled the flag of Switzerland. Those people, a few men and women, were walking inside a mansion.

The mansion was purely white-washed, its external walls beautifully designed. The large wooden door opened to a brightly lit hallway. The floor was marbled and the walls had large-sized windows with red curtains that had golden edges.

The men, women and children were guided by black-suited men to the dining table, where they had their breakfast. The food was no ordinary. There was pure joy on their faces as they took smoked fishes or croissants, zopf — not knowing what Reality was awaiting them.

Somewhere in the corridors of that mansion, two guards were gossiping.

"What do we have to do after they're done eating?" A boy who used to work there asked his fellow guard.

The fellow guard looked at him with a bored expression,

"That we are doing with people from the past."

There was a certain knocking on a certain door in the mansion and a voice,

"Mr. Valentin, your guests have arrived."

A man appeared outside that room whose door was knocked. A man in his middle age, his grey hair perfectly combed, & there weren't much wrinkling on his skin. He was slightly fit but softly walked with an undefined elegance.

Downstairs the man reached where his "guests" had just finished eating. Everyone was sipping tea when that man slapped his hand right in front of the table.

"Did you all enjoy the meal?" he asked and got answered with praises and nods.

His sight caught the sight of a little boy blushing at his tea but the man kept talking:

"You all can call me Valentin and I would be glad if you all stay at this place."

In the backyard of that mansion, Valentin sat for sunbathe while he had called for one of his men who had just been summoned.

"Come, eh Alexis, come. You have done a good job for sure," Valentin said without looking at him.

Alexis looked at Valentin quietly. Valentin's expressions had been changed too — he looked way more serious.

"Who's that child?" he asked demanding a straightforward answer.

Alexis looked into Valentin's eyes and knew he was furious.

"That boy, sir… keeps telling that he's born to be a slave. His name he exclaimed was Velvet Blaze and he started crying just so he could take him with us," said Alexis.
