Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 : The More You Scream, the More Excited I Get

Kain Clinton focused his gaze. At first glance, she wore nothing more than a perfectly normal professional outfit—yet that generous, barely-contained bust was impossible to ignore. Add to that her bewitching, fox-like eyes and those long, flawless legs wrapped in black stockings… her entire presence radiated temptation.

A temptress of a teacher with her seduction stat maxed out.

And aside from Tara Young, Kain couldn't think of anyone else who looked quite like this.

Tara Young, a probationary Inquisitor, had spent years chasing traces of the Black Covenant. Unfortunately, she had found very little.

"We're quite interested in Spirits," Kain said. "Coming to Alice Springs is part of our search for clues."

He spoke calmly, but his gaze betrayed him—sliding inevitably down to Tara's black-stockinged legs.

Even compared to Hazels famously alluring figure, Tara Young's legs were longer. Much longer.

"Kain Clinton."

Tara looked at him, her beautiful eyes complicated. Her own talent was nothing to scoff at, yet compared to him… the gap was still enormous.

The Inquisition had tried recruiting him more than once, but he had declined every time.

Tara naturally noticed where Kain's eyes drifted. If it were any other man, she might have been annoyed.

But attracting the attention of such an extraordinary genius… she couldn't help feeling a faint flutter of excitement.

And Kain's looks were flawless. Hard to feel annoyed at all.

"If you're looking for Spirits, you should be going to Hobart," Tara said lightly. "Alice Springs has no Spirit sites."

She couldn't reveal her identity as an Inquisitor—let alone as a Spirit Guardian.

"No Spirits? You've never even heard rumors of the Azure Dragon?" Jayce asked stubbornly. He refused to believe Kain had dragged them here on a whim.

Kain shot him a look.

What a clueless teammate.

Fortunately, the Azure Dragon wasn't exactly a forbidden topic.

"The Azure Dragon? Those are just myths. And you're searching for something that intangible?" Commander Kane said with open doubt. Looking for Spirits was one thing—searching for mythical sacred beasts was another matter entirely.

"Who says myths must be false?" Kain shrugged.

The Azure Dragon not only existed—its vessel hung around the neck of a certain student.

"Legends say the Spirits helped humanity survive a catastrophic era," Jayce declared passionately. "I'm sure they existed! Before magic, how did humans survive the monsters' fangs? Spirit protection! I must uncover their truth and restore their glory. This is my mission!"

"…So young," Commander Kane sighed. The boy reminded him of his younger self.

Kain, not particularly interested in Jayce's dramatic speech, quietly slipped over to Tara Young with a friendly smile.

"Teacher, may I have your name?"

"Tara Young."

Even though she was confident in her abilities, standing next to Kain still made her feel a faint inferiority.

Their difference was simply too vast.

"Teacher Tara Young," he said, eyes glinting playfully, "you certainly look like someone with… a very generous heart."

"You're incorrigible."

Tara shot him a glare. Of course she caught the double meaning.

"I heard you can summon an ancient general," she said, curiosity sparkling in her eyes. "Would you show us?"

"I'd like to see it myself," Commander Kane added. "Videos are one thing. Seeing it in person is another."

"With both of you asking, how could I refuse?"

Kain glanced at Tara's flame-red lips—vibrant and tempting—and let out a soft chuckle as he agreed.

With his current achievements, he could easily snap his fingers and have countless women throwing themselves at him. He didn't, because without a connection of souls, physical interaction felt too empty.

If he truly had no moral restraint, he could become a walking… demolition machine.

Even those weak national team lineups used to have hordes of fangirls. Kain had become internationally known. Fulfilling Zach's lifelong dream would be trivial for him now.

Despite that, Tara still had her pride.

She'd never deliver herself on a platter—but if Kain were the one to pursue her?

She wouldn't turn him away.

"Gareth Stormspear," Kain said softly. "Come stretch your limbs."

A silver wave surged behind him, twisting into a luminous circle.

"Yes, my lord!"

A tall silver-armored general emerged, spear in hand, towering and upright. Thick brows, sharp eyes, elegant features, clean-shaven face—radiant, valiant, magnificent.

A wave of killing intent swept outward, a suffocating pressure that made breathing difficult.

Even Commander Kane, a high-level mage, found his breath tightening.

"No death-aura at all… how strange," Commander Kane murmured in astonishment, studying the general. His shock was plainly written on his face.

When Kain had first summoned him, he too had been baffled. But after research, he realized his talent was closer to Guardian Spirits or Heroic Spirits.

Not only terrifying in strength—they weren't mindless like undead.

Even without orders, they fought intelligently.

This silver-armored general was the first he ever summoned—Gareth Stormspear.

The one who had fought beside him all the way.

Even in the World University Tournament, Kain had only sent out Gareth Stormspear. Marcus Silverlance and Barrett Ironhide had never appeared. He didn't want the Holy City's attention too early.

One day, he would clash with the Holy City. That fate was set in stone.

But not now. Not until he stood strong enough to challenge them head-on.

"At least commander-level… remarkable. Truly remarkable," Tara whispered to herself. No wonder he could seize the world championship.

With this power, this general could slay commander-level monsters with ease.

The sheer pressure alone would have sent any student into fainting fits.

Seeing the two still unable to fully compose themselves, Kain's pride swelled. This was far beyond ordinary Summoning magic.

Of course, this talent had drawbacks—mainly its devastating appetite for Primordial Stones.

A single commander-level essence cost several billion. Upgrading Gareth Stormspear to his current level had required five.

Twenty billion in total. Even if Kain sold his entire estate, he couldn't afford it.

Thankfully, remnants were an option—ten remnants for one essence. Which meant he needed to kill fifty commander-level monsters to push Barrett Ironhide or Marcus Silverlance to peak commander level.

And that was only commander level.

For monarch level… he didn't even want to imagine the cost.
