Chapter 81 - Chapter 81 Results of the Battle

The Wolf Pack, Spear Company, and Free Army Knights pursued the dothraki horse people, and with The Red Viper and Second Sons' two waves of ambushers charging in, Khal Jhaqo's entire Khalasar collapsed.

The standard-bearers ran at the forefront, carrying the grey-white Wolf Pack banners as if they were the proudest men.

Gendry also galloped across the vast plains; the Dothraki, once unruly, were now in a panicked state.

Gendry wielded his warhammer, and with Khal Jhaqo's death, there were almost no direct enemies before him.

Any unlucky individuals he encountered were also smashed to death by his warhammer.

Gendry's warhammer swung more and more smoothly; he felt it flowed like water, and as long as speed and strength were present, blunt weapons inflicted unparalleled damage in similar situations.

"The Khal is dead!" "The Khal is dead!" Such shouts echoed across the battlefield, and the Dothraki's morale was in chaos.

On the walls of Myr, those bold Myrish who had witnessed Khal Jhaqo's death also cheered.

This joy seemed infectious, spreading to the entire Black City of Myr, making the whole city exceptionally boisterous.

Although Khal Jhaqo was somewhat old, he was, after all, the most outstanding warrior in the entire Khalasar; his death on the battlefield today was a huge blow to the Dothraki.

According to Dothraki custom, a Khal's Blood Riders would die with him, and Khal Jhaqo's two Blood Riders had indeed fallen in battle.

However, the Khals under Khal Jhaqo did not have such concerns.

After Khal Jhaqo's death, Khal Jhezkahn's Khals had already fled with their Khas.

The smoke of battle slowly began to dissipate; with the deaths of Khal Jhaqo and his son, and Khal Jhezkahn's Khals fleeing with part of the Khalasar, the remaining spoils of war were quite substantial.

Brown Ben first led the Knights of the Second Sons back, like a hand closing in.

The captured Dothraki Screamers came before Gendry one by one, cutting off their black braids.

The heavy black braids piled up like a small mountain, signifying the victor's honor.

Gendry rode his horse past the Dothraki, raising his warhammer, and the Dothraki Screamers all lowered their heads.

The cavalry surrounding Gendry and the Dothraki Screamers, whether from the Wolf Pack, Free Army, Spear Company, or Second Sons, began to cheer.

The Unsullied beat their shields, while other soldiers blew their horns and waved their weapons.

Nothing was sweeter than the taste of victory, especially for those near the Disputed Lands, who harbored much resentment towards the Dothraki.

Gendry looked at the Dothraki, once arrogant and unruly; Dothraki warriors were often tall, with bronze skin, light brown eyes, and black hair, but now they all wore expressions of dejection.

Brown Ben translated his words; Brown Ben, having dothraki blood, was fluent in dothraki.

"Commander Gendry is the protector of Myr! Your Khals have already left with their Khas, and your Khal has been killed! Swear allegiance to Commander Gendry, or return to the Dothraki Sea!" Brown Ben shouted loudly.

"Khal!"

"Khal!"

"Khal of the swinging warhammer!" the Dothraki Screamers shouted, and between swearing allegiance and returning to the Dothraki Sea, almost all of them chose to surrender.

The Dothraki worship strength and operate in Khalasars; if they returned to the Dothraki Sea, they might be attacked by other Khalasars and become slaves.

Rather than that, they would pledge allegiance to a new Khal.

Gendry looked at these Dothraki Screamers; although these horse people had many bad habits and were not suitable for a heavy cavalry charge battlefield, when used properly, they were a good army.

The roars of the horse people echoed through the heavens and earth, as if witnessing the birth of a new king.

The Red Viper, who was still some distance away, saw this scene and quickly spurred his horse back.

"I bring you a gift!" said Oberyn, The Red Viper, bringing back the corpse of a Dothraki whose chest had been pierced by a Longspear, a truly tragic death.

"This is Khal Jhaqo's son; after the Khal died, he would have been the new Khal, and he wanted to return for revenge, but I killed him!"

"Poor Child!" Gendry looked at the corpse The Red Viper had thrown down, clearly seeing the young dothraki's face, which was still somewhat tender.

However, the Dothraki people lived in blood and violence, with Khals fighting each other.

Khal Temo, the Khal who died beneath the walls of Qohor that year, Khal Temo, clashed with Khal Dahakko, known as the "Northern Dragon"; Dahakko was old at the time.

Temo's Khalasar crushed Dahakko, captured him, cut off his limbs and genitals, roasted them in front of him, burned his wife and Child alive, and then burned him to death.

"I will use the heads of two generations of Khals to give the Tyroshi a warning!" Gendry thought, looking at the corpse of Khal Jhaqo's son.

The Khal's corpse could not only deter the Myrish but also the Archon of Tyrosh hiding in the Black City of Tyrosh.

"There were some unexpected gains as well," The Red Viper said, bringing back a contingent of Dothraki Unsullied, numbering about two hundred.

These Unsullied all had the typical Dothraki bronze skin and black almond eyes, but no facial hair; they wore the Unsullied's bronze helmets with spikes.

After the Dornishmen, a group of Dothraki Unsullied knelt before Gendry; with The Red Viper and Brown Ben nearby, Gendry understood their meaning.

These Dothraki Unsullied were prisoners of war from Khal battles, sold into Slaver's Bay.

The Qohorish, to curry favor with Khal Jhaqo, had gifted him this batch of Unsullied.

The Dothraki Screamers despised eunuchs and the incomplete; even with these Unsullied, they treated them as Khalasar guards and did not put them to use.

When the Khalasar collapsed, these bewildered Unsullied became Gendry's unexpected gain.

Gendry helped up the Unsullied leader; Gendry's Unsullied leader, Grey Wolf, stepped forward and embraced these poor Dothraki Unsullied.

With some reassurance, these unfree Dothraki Unsullied would also become his warriors.

"Thank you for your help, Prince."

"A trivial help; the key was that your Knights, Commander-in-Chief, defeated the Khal's army." The Red Viper humbly replied, as he needed Gendry's help and admired such a brave man.

"Count the horse people we captured; besides the Screaming Warriors, there should also be the old, weak, women, and Children."

"Watch over these Dothraki; I don't like them wantonly killing and harassing women!" Gendry issued two orders to Brown Ben, mainly because the horse people indeed had many bad habits.

"Yes!" Brown Ben said.

Most of the spoils of war were already in hand, so Gendry, Brown Ben, and The Red Viper led the soldiers to accelerate the clearing of the battlefield.
