Sparks flew as metal clashed. Behind Uchiha Kazefu and Uchiha Ren, Uchiha Ren had arrived just in time, using his kunai to block Kakashi's Lightning Blade!
Of course, Kakashi was only using ordinary swordsmanship, not channeling the Hatake Clan's secret techniques. That would consume too much chakra, and he couldn't afford to waste any against three elite Uchiha.
*Bang!*
Missing his strike, Kakashi immediately used the momentum to leap away.
Landing, he warily eyed the three Uchiha, his mind racing to devise a safe escape plan.
Fighting with his Sharingan activated was unsustainable; the Sharingan devoured chakra at an alarming rate. Having already used Chidori, Kakashi had already burned through nearly half his chakra reserves.
Yet fighting without the Sharingan against three Uchiha with activated Sharingan would put him at an even greater disadvantage.
Kakashi knew he couldn't escape or defeat the trio through sheer strength alone. His only hope lay in strategy.
*What would Shikamaru do in this situation?*
In this critical moment, Kakashi found himself strangely thinking of the still-silent Shikamaru. Shikamaru's intellect had always left Kakashi deeply impressed.
"You two need to be more careful! No more carelessness!" Uchiha Ren scolded Uchiha Kazefu and Uchiha Yoki in a low voice after rescuing them. With their skills, they should have been able to detect Kakashi's attack and evade it, but their carelessness had nearly cost them dearly.
"Yes!"
"We understand!"
Uchiha Kazefu and Uchiha Yoki quickly replied in hushed tones, their hearts pounding with lingering fear. If not for Uchiha Ren's intervention, Kakashi would have likely sliced them in half at the waist!
Their gazes toward Kakashi now carried genuine respect. Even after Uchiha Kazefu had been severely injured by Kakashi earlier, they had still underestimated him, dismissing him as merely having a powerful Lightning Release ninjutsu.
"Hmph! Three against one? That's just bullying! If you're so tough, why don't one of you face me alone?" Kakashi glared up at the trio, his voice dripping with anger.
"Trying to provoke us into fighting you one-on-one with such a cheap trick? Hmph! Don't even dream of it! Only a Hatake brat would think such a childish scheme could work against the elite of the Uchiha Clan!" Uchiha Ren's eyebrow twitched at Kakashi's words before he sneered disdainfully.
"So that's how it is. If that won't work, I'll just have to make it a three-on-one fight!"
Kakashi remained unfazed, chuckling softly.
"Ninja Art: Shadow Clone Technique!"
*Poof! Poof!*
Two shadow clones materialized beside Kakashi.
*Swish! Swish!*
The two clones darted to either side, flanking Uchiha Ren.
"Hahaha!"
"Hatake brat, I seriously doubt how you even became a Jonin. Daring to create shadow clones and waste precious Chakra at a time like this? Do you really think your clones can stand against us?"
Uchiha Ren stared in momentary surprise at Kakashi's move, then burst into mocking laughter. His initial respect for Kakashi instantly turned to disdain. Using shadow clones to waste Chakra in his weakened state was sheer folly.
Kakashi was already no match for them. Dividing his Chakra further into clones was practically suicide.
"Exactly! I can't believe the Leaf Village's higher-ups promoted this brat to Jonin!"
The injured Uchiha Kazefu burst into laughter.
"Since he wants a one-on-one fight, let's grant his wish! Each of us take down one of his Shadow Clones first!"
Uchiha Ren added with a cold smirk, "Kakashi split his Chakra to create those Shadow Clones, which means his main body's power has been significantly reduced. With his strength weakened, this is the perfect opportunity to strike!"
"Haha! Good!"
"I'll take this one!"
Uchiha Kazefu and his companion immediately grinned and charged toward the Kakashi clones in front of them.
Uchiha Ren followed suit, lunging at the remaining Kakashi clone.
"Fire Release: Fire Dragon Bullet Technique!"
Closing in on Kakashi, Uchiha Ren opened his mouth and unleashed a fiery dragon bullet at the clone.
*Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!*
The ferocious fire dragon bullet roared as it spiraled toward the Kakashi clone.
"Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!"
Uchiha Kazefu also unleashed a Fire Release technique, launching a massive fireball at his target.
*Sizzle! Sizzle! Sizzle!*
Meanwhile, Uchiha Yoki relied on his specialty: kunai throwing.
*Boom! Boom! Boom!*
Kakashi's three figures, facing the trio's relentless assault, didn't retaliate once, forced to evade and retreat repeatedly.
Whether shadow clones or the real Kakashi, all three were in a desperate state, reduced to nothing but dodging, utterly powerless to strike back.
Yet, amidst the chaos, the distance between the three Uchiha gradually widened.
"Hahaha! Die, you damn Hatake brat!"
Seeing Kakashi unable to retaliate, Uchiha Kazefu roared with laughter, unleashing a barrage of attacks on the Kakashi before him.
"You're the one who's going down!"
"Shadow Clone Technique: Release!"
The Kakashi facing Uchiha Kazefu glanced at the widening gap between the trio, a faint smile playing on his lips. He met Kazefu's taunt with a cold smirk, formed a hand seal, and instantly dispelled the Shadow Clone Technique.
*Poof! Poof!*
The shadow clones facing Uchiha Ren and Uchiha Yoki vanished in an instant, revealing that the real Kakashi had been with Uchiha Kazefu all along.
"Not good!"
"Damn it!"
Uchiha Ren and Uchiha Yoki's eyes widened in alarm as the Kakashi before them suddenly vanished without warning, their cries of alarm ringing out.
