Fal glanced at his status. Titles were rare; most people only had [Human] as their only title. This title was helpful in identifying traitors who had turned to the demons as they would lose this title and be unable to infiltrate. He was a bit indignant at the [ Reckless Fool ]. He never felt at risk when going into challenge dungeons, so it must have been a question of perspective.

Regardless, he quite liked his Talent. It was his own opinion that complex talents that had room for maneuvering allowed much more strength and flexibility. For example, [ Personal Farm ] talent that gave a pocket space farm had more room for growth than [ Speedy ] talent that increased Dexterity. Of course, that was considering both talents were not far apart in grade. Not many would agree with Fal however. Talent grades were absolute.

The biggest issue with his talent was that he wouldn't gain attributes. Normally, each person would get 2 stat point per level up. This gap would leave him quite behind as the level grew. There were other ways of gaining stats but those were ... . Nevertheless, he already had some ideas on how to rectify this. And he couldn't deny that part of him really liked the challenge of finding more use of his Talent and making it work. Luckily, his starting stats were a little higher than the average 10.

While he was contemplating his options and walking down the podium, the hushed gossip around him grew louder.

"An F-rank Talent. What a failure! Who would have thought that the second rank would fall so low."

"He is still keeping up a brave front. He must be cursing his luck in his head."

"Let's not be too harsh. Like the principal said, the talent level is not the only indicator of where you will end up."

"Wow, you think that is not just chicken soup. If it were B rank talent, it would still be somewhat possible but F rank is just ... ."

As Fal made his way to Rex, the latter started to console him, "Don't worry Fal, I'm sure with your natural abilities, you will surely climb up the ladder. So, don't feel down and look forward. Even F rank can't ...". Rex's words trailed off and the anxious frown left his face as he looked at Fal's face lost in thoughts and his natural smirk which indicated some upcoming mischief.

"Oh, if you help me, things will be much easier. With your talent [ Monster Encyclopedia ], Plan 8 will go much smoother."

"You already made 8 plans? Tell me about that later for sure then." Rex laughed out loud. Fal will still be Fal regardless of his Talent. Worrying for him will just be a waste of time. Rex started to think about his own future plans instead.

"Uhhh, I would like to help too!!", a new shy voice piped up behind the two boys. A female classmate stood there. She was wearing spectacles and had her hair braided in a simple style. "My name is Riell; my Talent is [ Trainer ] A Rank. I'm sure I will be useful!" It was obvious that she had taken a lot of courage to approach them.

"Oh, that would indeed help a lot. Welcome to the gang, Riell!", Fal welcomed her boisterously. His head was already churning with new ideas and plans.

Rex was a bit more reserved. He was concerned that Riell came because of his S Rank talent but for some reason, it seemed like she was focused on Fal mostly. He relaxed somewhat happy that his friend was not being looked down upon but at the same time felt a little bit of jealousy. They were both handsome and had received quite a bit of attention so it was nothing new. And Riell was quite pretty despite her somewhat plain appearance.

The peaceful atmosphere between the three as they were considering future plans was broken abruptly by Avery's foul mouth.

"Haha, Fal, how does it feel to be a failure? You were always acting arrogantly!" Fal didn't recall when he had done so. "And, you always looked down on me." Fal didn't really think much about Avery in all honesty. "I know you covet my status and my talent." Fal didn't. "And, you chased after Jane all this time." Fal didn't.

Hmm, it seemed Avery was quite delusional. His talent seemed quite good though. Fal was quite curious as to what heroes he could actually. He started tuning out Avery's tantrum. Avery very quickly realised that he was being treated like a barking dog. His face started to become visibly red. Rex got ready to intervene as Avery seemed to escalate the situation. People would tend to side with the S rank Talent individual rather than an F rank Talent person. Rex didn't want Fal to be in more trouble.

Meanwhile, Fal noticed someone joining Jane's group. Fal was always in his own world a lot of the time not paying attention to his surroundings but this time the feeling intensified. The noise and the colours drained from his vision, leaving only her. She had not changed since the last time. Or at least that's how Fal saw it. Jane's group had quieted down as she had arrived. She shared a glance with Fal. Fal strode forward towards her, leaving behind an aggravated Avery and a perplexed Rex.
