Chapter 5 - Chapter Five — Gifts of Victory

The night was quiet by the time the last of my crows vanished into the sky.Gotham's docks shrank below me, the dim streetlights flickering like dying candles in the wet darkness.

Then—

DING.

The system's voice rang through my mind, smooth and emotionless.

[You have defeated Robin.][Reward: Flying Thunder God Technique Unlocked.][Reward: Advanced Chakra Sensory Ability Obtained.]

I stopped mid-flight, feathers reforming into flesh and bone as I materialized on a rooftop overlooking the harbor.

Flying Thunder God.Hiraishin.The technique of the God of Shinobi.Tobirama's masterpiece. Minato's signature.

Instant teleportation.

My lips curled into a slow grin.

This world is not ready for me.

I rolled my shoulder—and hissed softly.

A small cut.Barely more than a scratch.But still… a scratch.

Robin had landed it earlier—one strike, one moment, one slip in my boredom when I let him actually tag me with the bo staff.

I pressed my fingers to the wound.Chakra glowed faintly beneath my skin.

Mystical Palm Technique.A simple medical ninjutsu.

The flesh knit together instantly, warm energy stitching it shut without a scar.

Within seconds, it was as if it never existed.

I exhaled and looked at the spot thoughtfully.

"Hm… impressive."

I didn't say it sarcastically.

I genuinely meant it.

He was an ordinary human—no chakra, no dojutsu, no bloodline, no enhanced physiology. And he still managed to touch me in combat.

Even if it was only once…

It was enough to amuse me.

"How rare," I murmured. "A challenge even that small."

Most people in this world break the moment I look at them.

Robin didn't break. He took hit after hit, kept moving, kept swinging, and even managed to inflict a minor wound against a fully realized Uchiha.

My smile widened, eyes swirling crimson in the moonlight.

"He'll be stronger next time."

The thought was almost… exciting.

But now, with Flying Thunder God flowing in my chakra network and sensory perception expanding to new horizons, the gap between us had become infinite again.

I closed my eyes.

And suddenly—I felt everything.

Every heartbeat within a hundred-meter radius.Every breath.Every shift of movement.Every flicker of killing intent.

The city lit up inside my mind like a map of pure instinct.

"…Beautiful."

This world was a playground. And tonight was only the beginning.

With a single hand seal, I marked the rooftop beneath my feet with a faint burst of chakra — invisible to all but me.

My first Hiraishin anchor.

I touched a finger to the cold night air.

"Time to test what Tobirama left me."

My body flickered—

—gone in an instant.

Gotham never saw me move.
