Chapter 8 - Chapter Seven: The Strongest

The bitter cold of the night stings. Within the darkness, a few thugs surround someone. "You're pretty cocky for someone of your size, lady." The thug adjusts his pants. "I guess you could say that's my type of woman." Nora is standing there patiently. "I'll give you three seconds to lower your head." The thug continues to look down on her. "I don't need you running your mouth, but I will bring you back to my place-" Nora grabs his shoulder and forces him to the ground with ease. "I'm eighteen, so I would be a pred letting you get near me." The thug is scared out of his mind. "You moron, once you understand the power dynamic you instantly shut up?" The other thugs attempt to flee. "The next person who moves under my vision will be instantly killed."

The wind howled loudly as the environment seemed to be completely static. Not a single soul dared to move. Nora kicks the man on his knees to the ground and walks toward one of the thugs. "That's what I fucking thought." She grabs his head. She tears it right off. She instantly looks back at the thugs. She starts walking toward another one of them. She lets out an ominous chuckle, a slight sign she may be enjoying this. She starts tickling one of them. They accidentally twitch. She rips their head right off. She starts to walk toward another thug. "This is too funny." a figure suddenly appears behind Nora and strikes her in the temple. CRACK. She falls face first into the ground, drops of blood visible. The thug brought to his knees had sneakily attacked her. "How do you like that, bitch?!" He starts to kick her. Thump. Thump. The thug has adrenaline pumping though his entire body, still terrified from what just took place. "Bro… did you get her..?" The thug looks down, panting. "She better be dead. I kicked her a hundred thousand times." The thug's face pales so much, it looks like it's genuinely white. "A hundred thousand? That's funny." Nora launches herself back on her feet. "Did you enjoy that sense of victory?" The thug stumbles back and falls. He sloppily stands back up again to run. Nora appears in front of him at blinding speed. "Let's play a game, if you win, I'll spare you. If you lose…" She drops the head of the remaining thug in front of him. "I'll make sure your death isn't as quick as theirs." His pupils shrink. "I-I'll play, just please-" "Alright then. You need to bring me fifty people at the empty lot over there by tomorrow morning. You got that?" The thug nods as he turns to flee. "Uh uh. Stay." He instantly freezes. "Call them with your phone or something."

A total of eight people show up. Most of them are annoyed that they were woken up. Nora's grin widens slightly. "And you said this is all you can do?" The thug is quivering, trying to dish out any form of sympathy within her. "Yes, but, That's all I can do right now! Please, I-" Nora backhands his face making him fly toward a concrete wall. "Let's do an 8v1. I got some steam I'm trying to blow off.

Nora weaves all incoming hits. She leaps up gracefully and flips to land on one of the people there. They're all weak, I need to find a way to make this more fun. Nora glances toward the strongest looking one. She appears right in front of him in under a tenth of a second. "She's so damn fast!" someone said from the crowd. "What's your name?" The man strikes her, which she easily weaves. "None of your concern." Nora smiles and continues to weave him. "I would watch my tone if I were you." The other seven people start to close in on Nora. Nora weaves with perfect precision so the strongest person hits the others by accident. "Sorry!" Nora laughs, enjoying everything about this. She eventually gets shoved, which she didn't see coming. She cartwheels back to her feet and continues to attack. A huge fist is flying at her. The strongest person there was waiting patiently for the right time to strike. By instinct, her face goes down. The person is shocked after looking down, seeing Nora's upper body under his arm but her lower body still maintaining balance. Nora then falls to her hands to sweep him and another person who was caught in the crossfire. She then slams her heel into the strongest man's stomach. The others start to close in. They are milliseconds away from hitting her until…

She blinks.

Everything freezes. She grabs the strongest man by his ankle and swings him around in a whirlwind like manner.

She blinks.

Everything begins to move again. She slams the strongest guy on the ground. "If you won't give me your name, then I'll just torture you until you do." The strongest guy is taken aback but presses on. "It's kazuma. And I won't be letting you torture me that easily." In an instant, Nora's heel comes crashing down. It slams against Kazuma's face. The sound of the impact echoes throughout the night. "You're not a fucking hero, Kazuma. I'm writing this story." She blinks once more and starts to fight the others. She spins around them all, making them all hit each other. She laughs manically as her speed seems to have increased. This goes on for a few more minutes before they all drop to the ground. "No good, these ones were weak anyway. I have no time to waste."

"Nothing here too?" She says as she walks over a pile of bodies. "I've been searching for so long…" She sighs with genuine disappointment. "I need to get that thrill Daiki felt in his fight in the alleyway. It's been too long since I felt that." She thinks even further. "Maybe I need to fight Daiki to get that thrill..?" She shakes her head. "No shot. He's way too underleveled compared to me. It would be a one sided fight." A shriek breaks through the air. Nora walks toward the direction of it. A man could be seen, repeatedly striking a man. "GIVE ME THE FUCKING MONEY GEEZER!" Nora stands right next to him. "Is there really a reason to be clobbering him this hard?" The man leaps back, astonished. "SHIT… GIVE ME YOUR MONEY TOO!!" Nora raises a brow. "Huh?" She grabs his chin and lowers it to her level, seeing his face in a shade of red. "Are you… high?"

The man starts swinging on Nora as she weaves. Now what fun is there in bullying a man who isn't even conscious? She reaches out to grab his head. "What the hell..?" Her hand… can't reach his head. The man continues to swing on her as she starts to block more than she weaves. It feels like putting two magnets of the same type together. Nora then realizes. Magnets? She starts to chuckle, which turns into a full blown laugh. "What a fuckass ability!" She falls onto her hands and kicks him in the face, knocking him out cold. She regains balance as she gets the dirt off her hands. "And here I thought this would be fun." She walks toward the road, leaving the man knocked out on the ground. "I genuinely cannot find a fight that gives me even an ounce of dopamine." She turns to see two civilians on the road. A sadistic grin grows on her face as something about her seems to change. "Time to hunt."

Her hands are drenched with nothing but blood as she walks down the road. A man walks past her and gets a good look at her. Before he could react, Nora sticks his hand in his chest with vicious force. The man collapses instantly without making a sound. "Tch. Even the marijuana maniac from back there put up a better fight than you." She crosses the road as blinding lights start to approach her. She walks to the end of the crosswalk in time to avoid being hit by the incoming cars. She enters an alleyway to find anyone dangerous. "If there's anyone in here, show yourself now." Silence. No one, huh… She slams her fist against the dumpster, creating a hole in it effortlessly. "Any dumpster divers in here?" She waits for a response then walks away. "I'll find it eventually. Eventually."

The morning sun starts to peek from the mountains. Nora has now been searching for three days. Eye bags started to form. She's starving and thirsty. She finds a water fountain in a nearby park. She drags herself toward it and lowers her head. I forget how great water really is… Suddenly, the laughs and chatter of a group of three boys mess with the peaceful morning environment. "I didn't know you had that much game, Minama!" Minama shrugs. "Once you boys get charisma like this, you'll be surrounded by ladies like I was. We even made out in the bathroom." Both of the boys begin to jeer, trying to hype him up. Minama sees Nora drinking water. He nudges the other two and walks up to her. "Hey lady, you lonely-" Nora shows him the blood on her hands. "You don't want to be with someone like me, sorry." Minama chokes on his words, but looking back to his friends, he decides to insist. "Come on girl, you don't have to be so hard to get. And besides, there's no way that's blood. It's gotta be paint." he walks next to her to touch her shoulder. "Besides, I like a girl with a bit of… Personality…" Minama, in the next moment, is flying toward his friend's face first.

Nora washes her hands in the water fountain then darts in front of them. "I won't make you bleed much." Without warning, she swings on one of the boys, knocking them out. Minama groans and tries to get up. "MINAMA-!" Nora spins twice in the air before kicking the other boy away. Both boys were knocked out. Minama looks up at Nora. His eyes flash with fear as he realizes what stood before him would kill him within seconds. Tears start leaking out, which turns into a profuse sob. "Please! Spare me please! I have a family… My life is just getting together… PLEASE…" Nora seems displeased. "I'm not trying to hear your begging bullshit. What are your last words?" Minama sinks into the ground, accepting his fate but decides to go for a shot in the dark. "Why are you doing this?" Nora slightly staggers. Why? That's because… Well… The thrill? Nora's body stiffens. That can't be it. It's definitely more than just for the thrill. Think… why am I doing all of this killing? "It's because nobody's stopping me." What am I saying? "It's because I choose what's right or wrong." That can't be true! It's… It's… A sadistic grin appears on her face once more as all light from her eyes fade. She slams his face into the ground with her heel, blood splattering everywhere. "It's because I'm the strongest."
