Chapter 28 - Ron Wet Himself?

Karmit set his book aside. "Stop. You think you're just going to walk away like that?"

Percy froze and turned, frowning. "And who are you supposed to be? What do you want?"

Karmit ignored Percy completely and focused on Ron.

"You said Draco provoked you first, didn't you?"

Ron looked at him— and for some reason, a wave of instinctive fear ran through him.

He hid behind Percy's back, only daring to speak because someone stood in front of him. "Y-Yes! He did!"

Karmit smiled calmly. "Right now, both sides say different things. Even if we brought this to the professors, it would become troublesome.

But we're wizards. Magic can make the impossible possible."

He reached into his pocket.

"For example… Veritaserum."

He held up a small vial.

"Conveniently, I have a bottle right here. Three drops, and you'll confess every secret in your mind."

He stared at Ron.

Ron's face drained of all color.

"N-No! I don't want that!"

Percy stiffened. "Using Veritaserum without authorization is illegal."

"You're absolutely right," Karmit said pleasantly. "Thank you for the legal reminder. However, I still think it's best we clear this matter up."

He stood and approached Ron.

Ron panicked.

"H-Help me! Percy, help me!"

Percy's expression twisted—Ron's fear already exposed the truth. But he couldn't let Karmit actually force-feed Veritaserum to his brother.

He drew his wand.

"Stop! What you're doing is illegal. I will restrain you and bring you to the Ministry—"

Karmit snorted.

He flicked his hand.

Percy flew backward as if he'd been struck by a Bludger, crashing onto the floor. His wand spun away, clattering uselessly.

Percy stared at him in shock.

What—how—?

The Weasley twins froze for a moment.

Then, silently, they stepped in front of Percy, protecting him, still wearing their harmless smiles.

Karmit saw them and smirked. He didn't bother targeting the twins.

He walked straight to Ron.

"So—will you drink it yourself?

Or shall I help you? Oh, right— Veritaserum causes permanent brain damage. Irreversible."

Ron's eyes bulged. His legs trembled.

He fell flat onto the compartment floor. "No, no, don't come any closer!"

"It'll be over quickly," Karmit said. "Sometimes sacrifices must be made for the truth."

The smell hit the cabin.

Several students recoiled in disgust. All eyes turned to Ron. A growing puddle spread beneath him.

Ron Weasley had wet himself.

Even Karmit blinked in disbelief. He hadn't expected Ron to fold that fast.

He pinched his nose and gestured to Draco. "Draco, go on. Let him have the Veritaserum."

Draco, thrilled to reclaim his dignity, grabbed the vial without hesitation.

This was his moment. Ron needed to confess—and maybe reveal a few more useful secrets while he was at it.

But just as Draco moved the vial toward Ron— Karmit plucked it out of his hand.

"Cousin! Why did you stop me?!"

Karmit chuckled. "You honestly thought this was Veritaserum?"

Draco froze.

The rest of the watching students blinked in confusion.

Karmit uncorked the vial. Then downed it in one swallow.

"This is honey nectar. Kreacher makes it for me every morning. Fresh nectar tastes best. If you wasted it, what would I drink?"

He glanced at Ron with open contempt.

Ron's fear twisted instantly into rage. "You tricked me!"

Karmit said, "Stop whining. Go change your trousers."

The reminder made Ron realize the cold wetness against his skin. Seeing everyone else's smirking expressions, his face turned beet red.

Head down, he bolted from the compartment.

Laughter erupted through the corridor.

The louder the laughter became, the redder Ron's ears got— and the deeper his hatred for Draco, Karmit, and Harry grew.

Karmit tossed the empty vial to Draco.

"When things happen, use your brain. If you don't, it'll rust."

He returned to the compartment.

The surrounding students, seeing the show was over, dispersed.vPercy's face twisted with humiliation as he retrieved his wand and stood to leave.

But Karmit's voice called out lazily:

"Hey, Prefect. Clean up the mess your brother made. If you don't, I won't mind using your face as a mop."

Percy's fists clenched.

His face flushed with humiliation and anger.

But the strength Karmit displayed earlier… He knew he couldn't win.

Grinding his teeth, Percy fetched a mop and bucket from the end of the carriage and began wiping the floor.

In another compartment, the twins peeked through the small window.

"Fred… did you see Percy's face? Black as soot."

"George, that boy is a genius. A fake Veritaserum prank? Inspirational."

"Though…" George rubbed his chin.

"…should we feel bad? He's still our brother."

Fred nodded seriously. "You're right. We should do something."

George lit up. "When we get back to Hogwarts, let's silently judge that genius in our hearts!"

Fred gasped. "George… you're a genius too."

They exchanged identical mischievous grins.

Back in the compartment— Draco was ecstatic.

"Harry, did you see that? That disgusting Weasley actually wet himself!

His reputation is ruined. Even if only one carriage saw it, news spreads fast.

And if it doesn't, I'll make sure it does!"

Harry laughed too—quiet but satisfied.

Being falsely accused had infuriated him. He was only eleven, after all. Revenge tasted wonderful.

And today… Ron Weasley had definitely gotten what he deserved.
