Chapter 35 - The conference.

As the demoness vanished, the world around them came back to its original state.

The night sky vanished as the moon disappeared and the sun shined marvelously.

The eerie alley and its broken pathway, the impact of the comet, even the very comet. It all vanished.

The alley, the elf and the demoness were fighting on became just an open field.

The darkness, the eeriness, the threat and ultimately the one who casted it all, was nowhere.

All of it replaced by the calm serenity of an open field.

The elf sighed as she saw the morning sun, turning her head she looked back and saw Don's body.

A moment ago he was lifeless, his entire body ruined and begging for the release of death from the dreadful poison which was clawing away at his life.

She slowly moved forward and crouched low. Her gaze fell upon his handsome face, for a moment she was lost in thought.

"So the great hero is a human".

She giggled in amusement, a sense of disbelief entering her mind as she looked at the dying human.

"Cannot believe that the prophesied hero is a weakling. And that too a human, even an orc would have been better".

The bright golden glow of the energy crystals illuminated the marvelous limestone walled hall.

In the middle of it there was a round table made of pure white marble, along with 7 chair's evenly spaced around the edge.

7 seats which were decorated by 7 chieftains.

The chieftains of each races sitting in silence, some kept fidgeting in their seat, while some were loosing there patience.

The air was thick with the unease and amusement of the news they had recieved.

The prophecy has taken form.

'The arrival of the Hero who will become the saviour of the World'.

The weight of the silence taking a heavy toll on all of them.

Until finally, the doors to the hall flung open, and the Grand wizard stepped in.

Madam Gretha Wasowski.

All the 7 chieftains stood up at her presence, and bowing to her in reverence.

Her radiant presence adorned in a white robe of pure silk as she approached the round table.

She raised her hand and gestured them to take their seats.

As she stood there she saw the unease and excitement each of the 7 chieftains had.

Then breaking the silence she spoke.

"As you all know, the prophecy which foretold the arrival of the Hero, destined to protect the world from the grasp of evil has been found... real"

Hearing this one of the 7, the chieftain of the ORC's "King Grendle", stood up from his chair.

His face contorted in a frown, he turned to face the Grand wizard. His voice boomed,

"This is absurd, I refuse to indulge in this make belief play being run by the other races and you." His tone reflecting the lack respect.

Looking around at the 6 chieftains who shared the table, "Shame on you cowards", he said in pure disgust.

Irritated by the acquisition of the orc chieftain, "King Ocelot " of the giants slammed his fist on the table.

/Bamm/

The weight of his fist slamming against the marble as his blood boiled, "How dare you call us cowards"

His gaze narrowing down at the orc chieftain as white arcs of energy flickered from his eyes.

"Should I remind you of who ran away from the demons. And further more turning their back against their own kin, or should I rekindle your fear of us giants".

He said, lifting his fist and slamming it once again against the marble, craking it slightly.

The orc flared his teeth, and grinned,

"I accept. Come at me so that I can smear your face all over this very room."

The veins in his arms popping.

The immense aura which both of them unleashed, clashing against eachother further burdening the hall.

Sensing the situation growing into an all out war between the giants and the orcs the Grand wizard stepped in.

Her staff floating in the air as golden sparks of energy circled around her, making her white robe shine in a brilliant golden glow.

"Silence...".

Her voice echoed through the hall and skillfully negating the strengthening of the orc and the magic of the giant.

The orc and giant stared at eachother in awe before sitting down.

Taking back her own energy, the Grand wizard stepped back,

"I understand that it is unpleasant to some of you, but the stars have aligned as the prophecy foretold, and quiet recently I felt a rupture form in our world".

"The hero has arrived. It is only a matter of time before he appears before us".

Saying that she leaned back as a chair formed behind her.

She sat down and rested her staff on her lap before continuing,

"That is why I have called for this meeting, to announce the signs of the prophecy turning to reality-" taking a deep breath, "and to ask of your full cooperation in finding and then nurturing the hero, to his full strength".

The chieftain of the elves smiled at the ridiculousness of her request.

She bursted out laughing and turned to the Grand wizard.

Who blinked in confusion as to why, the queen of the elves decided to speak, something she barely does.

"You honestly expect the both of them to help you in your little quest" she scoffed, "you would be better of with some moxhlans by your side, hahaha".

Said "Svetlana Elemore", the queen of the elf's.

The chieftain of the orc clearly didnt like that, as he was about to baer his fangs against the elf queen, he felt a sudden pressure from behind him.

Something which resurfaced some of the orc kinds unpleasant memories.

He pulled back like a child being scolded by his angry mother, only difference is that there wasn't an iota of love in it.

The Grand wizard placed her index finger onto her lips and shushed the elf queen.

Then another voice,

"Honorable grand wizard, if i may ask you, could you please tell us more about the rupture that you sensed"

That was the king of the beasts "Leon Vonhert".

It was warm and calm, unlike the daring orc or the stubborn giant or the mocking voice of the elf.

The Grand wizard answered the beast King,

"Certainly, it seems to have been of quite the intensity, it was a faint sense but the distance at which I heard it from tells me otherwise".

The beast king nodded.

"Now then let's move onto the lesser important stuff shall we?."

The Grand wizard said with a warm smile.
