"Well, what's the fun in that?" Julie said, crossing her arms lightly, a teasing smile playing on her lips as her eyes scanned the apartment.
"We thought we should give our little brother a visit, to see what he's been up to these days," Lucy added, looking around curiously.
"Nothing much. I just got back from college and fell asleep, that's why it took me so long to open the door," I explained.
"Oh, really? I never thought you'd be able to live independently. We were all shocked when we heard you were living alone," Julie said, raising an eyebrow.
"Yeah, it hasn't been that long," I replied casually.
As we were talking, someone knocked on the door.
"Let me get that," I said, walking over and opening it.
It was Tiffany, standing there in a white maxi dress—just like in my dream.
"Alex, is everything okay? I heard some loud banging noises from here," she said, glancing inside past me.
