Before Red and Ash appeared, the Pikachu line was mocked as nothing more than
common yellow mice.
They really were everywhere.
Yet these two pushed the electric mouse to absolute extremes.
Or perhaps—
Only their Pikachu were special.
Both of their Pikachu could fight Champions.
Both could stand against Legendaries.
The Pikachu line itself probably never dreamed that one day,
It would replace Zapdos as the League's lightning statue.
Once the decision was finalized, the League immediately began designing Pikachu statues.
As for the model—
Naturally, they chose Ash's Pikachu.
That cap-wearing Pikachu looked perfect.
And the projection continued—
After dealing with Zapdos, Red casually tossed out an Ultra Ball.
Right before everyone's eyes—
Zapdos was captured.
And it didn't break out.
Boom.
The world exploded into chaos.
They had just witnessed a human capturing a god.
Even if that god… didn't look that strong.
But no matter how you looked at it—
Zapdos was still a divine being.
Wait a second—
Red still had three Pokémon left unrecorded.
Articuno.
Zapdos.
Moltres.
Now that Zapdos was captured…
Don't tell me—
He was going after the other two as well?!
Under the audience's stunned gazes,
Red traveled next to the Seafoam Islands,
where he encountered Articuno—
And released Lapras to fight it.
At that moment, everyone finally understood.
Red wasn't just planning to catch the Legendary Birds—
He was planning to defeat each of them using their corresponding attributes.
Against the Electric-type Zapdos,
he didn't use Marowak.
He used Pikachu.
Against the Ice-type Articuno,
he didn't use Charizard.
He used Lapras.
Was this his way of making the gods submit from the heart?
What kind of flex-capture method was this?!
After an intense battle—
Red defeated Articuno one-on-one
and successfully captured it.
When it came to the final bird, Moltres—
Red had it easier.
Because this time, he sent out his true ace.
Charizard.
In-flight speed.
In flame temperature.
In raw power—
Charizard completely surpassed Moltres.
Red's Charizard was now capable of fully suppressing a Legendary Pokémon.
And so, Moltres was captured as well.
At this point—
All three Legendary Birds had fallen into Red's hands.
Whether in that world or this one—
This would cause an unprecedented uproar.
Many people had already gone numb.
Legendary Pokémon had been defeated multiple times already.
This time—
They were outright captured.
Why did it feel like Legendary Pokémon were becoming… cheap?
And by all accounts—
Wasn't Red doing this with a mortal body, standing against gods?
On top of that, this entire ranking was basically Red's personal showcase.
What kind of reward would he even receive?
[Lance]: The Articuno Red fought was significantly stronger than the one Ash fought back then.
[Lorelei]: Agreed. I'd estimate it at a standard Champion main—solid second-tier deity.
[Leon]: Then Red's Charizard and Pikachu should already be at second-tier godhood as well.
[Diantha]: Most likely. It's absurd how fast they keep growing. My Gardevoir barely improved after reaching Champion level.
[Cynthia]: He's captured three Legendary Pokémon—this truly deserves the word "legend." But… why does the projection feel like it's not over yet?
Cynthia's words snapped everyone back to reality.
Right—
Why wasn't it over yet?
The three Legendary Birds were already captured.
What else was left?
Were they going to show Red steamrolling other regions next?
Defeating all Champions and Elite Four,
becoming an eternal reigning king?
The projection shifted—
After capturing Moltres and completing the Kanto Pokédex,
Red excitedly rushed to Professor Oak's lab to share the news.
But when he arrived—
The lab was empty.
Oak's assistant quickly told Red something.
His expression changed instantly.
The next moment—
Red was sprinting.
The scene cut.
Red burst through a door and shouted:
"Blue! Are you okay?!"
Inside the room—
Professor Oak stood there, worry etched on his face.
And on the bed—
Blue lay completely wrapped in bandages.
One arm was clearly broken.
The audience's expressions changed instantly.
What happened?!
"How noisy…" Blue muttered weakly.
"My head's echoing…"
He slowly sat up, leaning against the bed.
From his voice—
The injuries didn't seem as severe as they looked.
"Don't worry," Oak said.
Blue only suffered superficial injuries. He'll recover with rest."
Red walked closer.
Looking at Blue's bandaged body and suspended arm—
You call this superficial?!
"What happened?" Red asked.
Blue lay back down and began recalling.
"After losing to you, I kept working on the Pokédex. Then I heard rumors…"
"There was a Pokémon in Cerulean Cave—one never seen before."
"One with power far beyond normal Pokémon."
"So I went to capture it."
"Besides completing the Pokédex, I thought…"
"If I could catch it—maybe I could beat you."
He let out a self-mocking laugh.
"But after fighting it…"
"My five Pokémon lost all ability to battle."
"Blastoise was blasted away and crushed me underneath."
"This is the result."
"That Pokémon sparing my life was probably my only luck."
[Lance]: Damn—something that wiped Blue's full team?!
[Diantha]: Blue and Red are nearly equals… the gap isn't big.
[Cynthia]: Red's Pokémon are already second-tier gods—two even at divine rank.
[Leon]: Then the Pokémon that beat Blue must be a first-tier god.
[Professor Oak]: Cerulean Cave… we've never recorded anything abnormal there.
[Misty]: I grew up in Cerulean City. I've never heard of something like that.
[Professor Kukui]: Parallel worlds differ slightly. Let's hear what Blue describes.
The Champions reached the same conclusion.
The Pokémon that defeated Blue—
Had to be a first-tier Legendary.
A true god.
Such beings were mysteries of the world.
They could appear anywhere.
In the projection—
Red murmured in disbelief.
"Blastoise… was blown away…"
Blue's words carried terrifying implications.
They had fought six-on-six in the Champion's Hall not long ago.
Red knew Blue's strength perfectly.
He only won by a slim margin.
Yet the Pokémon in Cerulean Cave had defeated Blue one-on-six.
What kind of monster was that?
Was it even a Pokémon?
"What did it look like?" Red asked.
"No idea," Blue replied.
"I've never seen anything like it."
Professor Oak suddenly spoke up.
"The Pokédex—did it record anything?"
"If you encountered it, there should be data."
Blue pulled out a battered Pokédex.
"It got crushed… along with Blastoise."
…You really went through a lot.
Also—
How heavy is your Blastoise, exactly?!
"Check mine," Red said, taking out his Pokédex.
Oak froze.
Then his eyes lit up.
"Red—have you completed the Kanto Pokédex?!"
"Yes, Professor. That's why I came… before this happened."
"Hahaha! Excellent! Kanto's Pokédex is complete!"
The Pokédex system existed to aid new Trainers.
The original 149 Pokémon were preloaded by Oak.
Once fully recorded, the data could be replicated—
Allowing future Trainers to identify unknown Pokémon.
Completing the Kanto Pokédex was a small step—
But a monumental one.
Oak nearly forgot his injured grandson was still lying there.
"Tch. If my Pokédex hadn't broken, I'd have hit 149 too," Blue muttered.
The world exploded again.
That meant—
Blue had already captured 148 Pokémon.
At least two Legendary Birds.
Forums erupted.
"Are the Legendary Birds really this easy to catch now?"
"I've never even seen Articuno in my life!"
"Red and Blue alone caught at least five!"
"Replace the bird statues already—Charizard, Pikachu, and Lapras are the new Fire, Electric, and Ice gods!"
With no official chat—
People built their own forums.
The Heavenly Ranking Forum was born.
(Blue's line is canon—he truly captured at least two birds.)
Back to the projection—
Oak asked seriously:
"What moves did it use?"
"Psychic. Barrier."
"And none of my attacks worked."
"Not even Articuno or Moltres were one-tenth as strong."
Oak began searching the Pokédex.
"Psychic and Barrier… a Psychic-type?"
Blue scanned the entries.
"It's not here."
"But you completed the Pokédex, right?"
"Yes."
"Then… why isn't it listed?"
Oak stroked his chin.
"I only gave you the Kanto Pokédex."
"It's possible Pokémon from other regions exist."
"Other regions?" 2
The two boys froze.
They'd only traveled for half a year.
Yet in that time—
They had already conquered Kanto.
The audience shuddered.
If these two went to other regions—
What nightmares would await those Champions?
(Other regions' Champions: Please don't come.)
"Other regions can wait," Oak said.
"The priority is that Pokémon."
"Blue's strength rivals nearly anyone in the world."
"To defeat him like this…"
"There's only one answer."
"A High-Tier Legendary."
"A first-tier god."
The two boys fell silent.
They had thought becoming Champion meant reaching the peak.
But the world was far larger.
Far deeper.
Red's fire reignited.
This world still had far more challenges waiting.
At Mt. Silver, present-day Red watched his past self.
Back then, he thought strong people had to exist somewhere.
Turns out—
He toured the whole world and barely found anyone worth fighting.
Eventually, he returned to Mt. Silver and became a recluse.
Recently, some guy named Ethan showed up—
Dragging along a bunch of Legendary Pokémon.
Mega Charizard X pinned them down effortlessly.
Legendaries without a capable Trainer weren't interesting.
Though—
That Typhlosion was handled pretty well.
Had Champion vibes.
So maybe…
"Typhlosion one-trick god" was an appropriate title.
Back to the projection—
Professor Oak spoke solemnly.
"It may be dangerous… but could you investigate Cerulean Cave for me, Red?"
"If things get risky, retreat immediately."
"We don't know its temperament."
"If it's hostile… Cerulean City is sitting on a time bomb."
"I can only entrust this to you."
Red adjusted his cap.
"Leave it to me, Professor."
