Sorbet Kingdom.
A nation filled with sorrow.
At least, that was White Ghost's impression of it.
After White Ghost told his crew everything he knew, everyone fell silent. Even Mihawk said nothing.
He had not expected Bartholomew Kuma, a fellow Seven Warlord, to have such a story behind him.
"A bunch of idiots," White Ghost said with a faint smile.
Everyone looked at him.
"Why would you say that? Aren't people like that great?"
White Ghost looked toward Sorbet Kingdom's harbor and shook his head.
"You misunderstood. I'm not calling their actions idiotic."
He took a deep breath.
"I mean people who chase their dreams are all idiots. A bunch of idiots willing to give up everything for the goal they believe in."
Just as White Ghost's group arrived at the harbor, a woman with a mask, short purple hair, and blunt bangs in a bob cut was listening to her subordinate's report.
She wore a tall red hat fitted with goggles, with a long tail hanging from the back. Burgundy sunglasses covered her eyes. Her upper body was dressed in a red long-sleeved sleeveless top, with the word "BELO" written on the back.
She wore nothing beneath it, leaving the front open.
A red tie hung around her neck, yellow leather gloves covered her hands, and below she wore a long-tailed skirt, red boots, and red-and-white striped stockings.
She was Belo Betty, a revolutionary from the East Blue and commander of the Revolutionary Army's Eastern Army. Having eaten the Pump-Pump Fruit, she could inspire people and draw out their hidden strength.
With a cigarette between her lips and a large flag in hand, Belo Betty listened to her subordinate finish.
She lifted her eye mask and said lazily, "So that handsome White Ghost has arrived?"
"Yes, Commander. They're at the harbor now."
"Oh?"
Belo Betty stood up.
"Then send someone to invite him. This trade cannot fail. It's extremely important to us."
"Yes, Commander!"
The subordinate saluted and hurried out.
Belo Betty picked up the newspaper on the table, a smile on her pretty face.
"He really is handsome. Very masculine."
Bero bero bero!
The Den Den Mushi rang.
Belo Betty picked it up and spoke directly. "Leader, you found out this quickly?"
Dragon's voice came from the snail. "Don't overthink it, Betty. That man contacted me yesterday and said he would arrive today."
"So that's how it is. Looks like I was overthinking."
Betty smoked carelessly.
"So, Leader, did you call this time because you have something to tell me?"
Dragon was silent for a moment.
"Be careful. That man is not ordinary when it comes to lust. Also, keep an eye on Bonney."
"Oh?"
Betty's lips curved.
"Is he really that hopeless? The kind who can't walk when he sees a beautiful woman?"
Dragon's voice continued through the Den Den Mushi.
"He likes beautiful mature women, and also cute-looking ones. I don't want the Revolutionary Army losing a commander. Besides, Kuma has already sacrificed too much. We cannot let his family suffer."
Betty's face filled with confidence.
"I understand, Leader. I'm not one of those inexperienced little girls. I won't be tricked away so easily. I'll watch Bonney too."
Click.
The call ended.
Betty stretched lazily, her graceful figure showing clearly.
"Honestly. I'm just a little open and cheerful. It's not like I'm that kind of woman."
But when White Ghost arrived alone at the Revolutionary Army's base and Betty looked at him in person, only one thought rose in her mind.
She had spoken too soon.
White Ghost looked strangely at the Eastern Army commander, who was staring blankly at him.
Has my charm gone up again?
Impossible. I'm not some man with a built-in system.
Unable to bear the way this sexy woman was staring so openly, White Ghost waved a hand in front of her eyes.
"Are you planning to keep staring, or are we going to finish this trade soon? No matter how long you look, I'm not sponsoring you for free."
Betty finally snapped back to herself, her cheeks turning red.
"Ahem. I was just thinking about something, handsome White Ghost. Don't misunderstand."
White Ghost nodded and found a seat.
"I understand. But can you wipe the drool from the corner of your mouth?"
Betty's face turned even redder.
Her subordinate covered his face at the side. He had wanted to remind her just now, but hadn't gotten the chance.
Betty wiped the corner of her mouth and forcefully changed the topic.
"Handsome White Ghost, where are the supplies for this trade? You know the Revolutionary Army's time is precious. The sooner we get your weapons, the fewer comrades we lose."
As she said that, Betty kept staring at White Ghost.
"Don't misunderstand. I'm just curious about your bracelet. The leader said it's a very advanced idea."
White Ghost didn't stand on ceremony. His bracelet flashed, and a large pile of weapons appeared on the floor.
Betty's eyes lit up.
"How amazing. Can you give me one?"
White Ghost cursed inwardly.
Dream on.
On the surface, he simply smiled faintly and shook his head.
"Stingy. Shouldn't such a handsome man be a little more generous?" Betty muttered softly, then waved her hand.
The Revolutionary Army personnel waiting nearby immediately came forward to inspect the goods.
Once they finished confirming there were no problems, they nodded to Betty.
Betty snapped her fingers.
From the room behind her, several people walked out, each carrying a briefcase. They placed them in front of White Ghost.
"Check it, stingy handsome man."
Betty lit another cigarette and exhaled a smoke ring, trying to distract herself.
White Ghost smiled as he accepted the money.
No one disliked having more money.
As for the person still standing to the side with another box, White Ghost's bracelet flashed again, and two boxes appeared on the table.
"Take a look. This is the newest Rumble Ball developed on our ship.
"It can temporarily boost Zoan users by a large margin. As for side effects, it's much better than the one I gave Dragon before. It won't damage lifespan."
Betty nodded, and the man waiting beside her immediately stepped forward to inspect it.
When he opened the box, he saw three porcelain bottles inside, all filled with blue pills. He opened one bottle, took out a pill, and smelled it.
White Ghost glanced at him.
"Can you actually smell anything from that? You'd be better off finding a Zoan user and testing it on the spot."
The man's face turned awkward. He put the Rumble Ball back into the bottle and looked at his commander.
Betty waved a hand.
"That's enough. It's not our first trade. Handsome White Ghost has some connection with the leader too. He won't ruin his own reputation."
Before long, the trade was complete.
White Ghost was just about to rise and leave when Betty spoke, her expression unpleasant.
"Is it that I have no charm, or are your standards too high? Why are you in such a hurry to leave?"
White Ghost turned around and walked toward her. He wrapped an arm around Betty's slender waist and lowered his head to meet her eyes.
"Don't play with fire, woman. I've been holding back from you for a while."
The others saw this and immediately bolted, not daring to stay any longer.
They were afraid of being dragged into trouble afterward.
Betty tossed away the cigarette in her hand. Her smooth fingers brushed over White Ghost's face.
"Then what do you want to do, handsome?"
