Naruto and Sakura turned together.
Sasuke was covered head to toe in curse marks, killing intent swirling around him like a demon god.
Naruto didn't answer him. He leaned close to Sakura and whispered, "We'll talk about that woman later. I'm feeling an unusually heavy killing intent right now. Probably because I've been using the Nine-Tails too often lately."
Sakura's eyes tightened. "Take a moment to cool down. But letting her escape like that—are you sure it's okay?"
"…It's fine. I watched her reaction earlier. I've got a guess."
Sakura was about to ask more when Sasuke's low voice came from behind.
"Naruto…" He narrowed his eyes, feeling the violent power boiling inside him, unconsciously comparing the gap between them.
"Was that person our enemy?"
Naruto looked over. "Yeah. But we already have both scrolls. No need to chase." He held up the Earth Scroll.
"And what's with you right now?" Naruto feigned ignorance, calmly studying Sasuke's state.
"…This is what he gave me. A new power." Sasuke's voice came out thick and cold. "I understand now. If I'm going to be an avenger, I can't hesitate—no matter the cost. Even if I have to sell my body to a devil."
Naruto couldn't help thinking: only someone as naturally overpowered as Sasuke could say cringe-as-hell lines like that with zero dissonance—and still make fangirls cry.
"Well, congrats then." Naruto grinned. "But selling yourself to a devil is a bit much. If you want revenge, we can go with you, you know?"
Sasuke blinked.
Irritation surged up instantly.
Why could Naruto talk so lightly about revenge? Did he not know my entire clan was slaughtered by Itachi?
And he said he'd help me take revenge? What a joke. Uchiha blood is not for outsiders to meddle in.
But then Sasuke remembered Naruto's insane achievements. His negative emotions flooded his mind.
A new impulse rose.
"Oi, Naruto." Sasuke stared him down. "Fight me. I want to see what this power can do."
Naruto massaged his forehead.
Predictable. Sasuke felt himself again and was sprinting toward his scheduled beatdown.
Canon Sasuke woke up and brutalized Zaku, breaking his arms—then got addicted to Orochimaru's power.
Naruto was fine with Sasuke "cleaning house." Genocide demanded repayment in blood. But he couldn't let Sasuke get exploited through that weakness.
Sakura waved a hand, letting them settle it.
"Fine." Naruto stood and stopped suppressing the Nine-Tails' malice. The ground around him began to simmer with dangerous heat.
"We'll spar. But no killing blows."
Red chakra erupted from Naruto's body like a tiger.
"Not great. My chakra cloak is starting to take shape." Naruto frowned slightly at himself.
Across from him, Sasuke's eyes widened.
His raging power shrunk.
The curse marks retreating across his skin slid back toward his neck.
"So that's how it is…" Naruto remembered he'd used Nine-Tails chakra to suppress Anko's curse mark. No reason it wouldn't work on Sasuke.
He walked toward Sasuke, and the closer he got, the faster the marks withdrew. In the end, Sasuke felt the violent power settle down, like a feral lion soothed to sleep.
"What… what is this?" Sasuke stared, stunned. Was my power… being suppressed by Naruto?
"Nine-Tails," Naruto said, tapping his stomach. "You know what that is, right?"
"It's sealed inside me. I fight using its power. Basically an external force."
"I'm guessing your curse mark is an external force too. Compared with a tailed beast, it's nothing. The Nine-Tails would lose face if it couldn't crush it."
Sasuke no longer wanted to fight. He fell into thought.
"So yeah." Naruto patted his shoulder. "This thing isn't that amazing. I'm already scared to let my power go too far—if I do, the Nine-Tails starts eating my reason. Same for you. Watch what this 'outside power' does to your head."
"And about revenge—seriously, you can use us. Sakura and I are connections you made as a genin. Connections exist to be used."
"Even Konoha runs on connections. First and Second were brothers, Second's student became Third, Third's student's student became Fourth…"
He unconsciously poured his old-life "social survival" lessons into Sasuke. Sakura yawned through most of it.
But Sasuke listened with unusual focus.
Maybe Naruto's strength made the words harder to dismiss. In the end, Sasuke didn't argue.
Naruto smiled, satisfied. He knew Sasuke had heard him. That was enough.
They cleaned the battlefield quickly, checked for anything missing, said goodbye to Lee, and left at speed.
Tenten, Neji, Ino, Shikamaru, Choji… they probably overheard part of our talk with her. Good thing nobody mentioned "transmigrator." To them it'll just sound like a crazy woman saying crazy stuff.

Night fell peacefully. After Sasuke fell asleep, Sakura found Naruto to talk about what happened.
"About that person… what do you think?" she asked.
Naruto glanced around, lowering his voice. "She'll definitely find us again and ask for protection. She can't stay with the Sound side anymore. That's normal-person logic, anyway."
"And abnormal-person logic?"
"Uh…" Naruto coughed. "I think she'll keep harassing us in whatever way she thinks is 'helpful.'"
"So should we find a chance to deal with her?" Sakura rubbed her neck.
Naruto nodded.
A normal transmigrator in Naruto would cling to the protagonist. That was fine. But this woman's mind was too unstable.
If she ever "hard-jumps werewolf" and blurts out the transmigration secret, both he and Sakura were screwed.
