A man trudged through the forest, sweat dripping as he
carried his axe.
Man (grumbling):"Huh!
I'm tired of doing the same thing again and again. She keeps asking me to
collect wood for cooking, even though we have LPG cylinders…"
He recalled his wife's sharp words.
Wife (echoing in
his mind):"Look at the number of children here — seven! All because of
your lust. If I use the LPG cylinder, it empties in a day. Like father, like
children — they eat more food just like you. I'm tired of cooking and ordering
cylinders. You don't earn much, but I'm still trying to educate our children
and earn some money. At least do this job for them!"
The man sighed, realizing her words were fair.
Man (thinking):"Yeah…
she's right. After collecting wood, I'll search for a job to keep my family
safe."
He walked for kilometers, but no wood was in sight.
Man (frustrated):"I've
traveled 2 or 3 km… still nothing."
Suddenly, he noticed dogs in the distance, gnawing at
something.
Man (curious):"Wait…
what are they eating?"
He threw stones, chasing the dogs away. As he stepped
closer, his eyes widened in horror.
Man (shocked, vomiting):"What
is this?! Who is this guy? His body… tampered by dogs… his face… disgusting!"
He staggered back, trembling, then pulled out his phone.
Man (panicked):"Police!
Police! Come quickly… there's a body here!"
The police arrived at the forest thirty minutes later,
sirens echoing through the trees. Officers combed the area, searching for
clues.
Narration: They checked the
body for identity — licenses, personal belongings, anything that could reveal
who he was. Soon, the forensic team arrived, carefully collecting evidence from
the mangled corpse.
One officer gasped as he pulled out a wallet.
Police (shocked):"Wait…
this man… he's Ragav, the MLA of this constituency."
The realization spread quickly. Ragav wasn't just anyone —
he was the closest ally of Vaduganathan, Karikalan's uncle, and a
powerful figure in the democratic party.
The police immediately called Vaduganathan.
Police (on phone):"Sir,
we found a body deep in the forest. His identity is auspicious… he's an MLA of
your party. His name is Ragav."
Vaduganathan froze, his face pale.
Vaduganathan (shocked):"What?!
Ragav?!"
He rushed to the scene, his footsteps heavy with dread.
Standing over the body, his voice trembled with rage.
Vaduganathan:
"My friend… who did this to you? Why were you tampered like this?"
He turned to the police, his tone sharp.
Vaduganathan:"Go. Find
the culprit. Bring him to me."
The officer nodded nervously.
Police:"Yes, sir. We'll
investigate."
But Vaduganathan's fury boiled over. He grabbed the
policeman's shirt, his eyes blazing. Vaduganathan (threatening):"Don't
just say it. Do it. I'll give you one or two months. If you fail to find the
guilty… you'll only have a wooden spoon in the end. Remember that."
Sweat trickled down the officer's face. He quickly pulled
away, terrified, and left the scene to begin the investigation.
Vaduganathan's luxury car pulled into his mansion.
Reporters swarmed like bees, microphones thrust forward.
Reporter:"What happened
to Ragav? Was this internal politics? Or something beyond?"
Vaduganathan's face twisted with rage and grief.
Vaduganathan (snapping):"So
you're telling me I'm behind my friend's murder? How dare you! How can you ask
such questions to a man already broken by his friend's loss? You should be
ashamed. You've shattered my heart. My eyes blur with tears… leave me alone!"
He stormed inside, security blocking the reporters. Cameras
flashed, but the doors slammed shut.
Inside, Vaduganathan collapsed into his chair, whispering
to himself.
Vaduganathan (broken):"Dammit,
Ragav… you gave everything to strengthen our party. You became an MLA, and I
became its leader. And now you're gone."
His voice hardened, eyes narrowing.
Vaduganathan (cold):"I
will find the culprit. And when I do… I'll give him the same fate he gave you."
But then, his phone buzzed. Election banners, campaign
schedules, and party workers flooded his screen. He clenched his fists.
Vaduganathan (thinking):"No…
now is not the time. I must be calm. My focus is on winning the election. After
I win… then I'll take care of him in my way."
The day ended heavy with conspiracy. Vaduganathan returned
home after nominating candidates for the upcoming election. His luxury car
rolled into the mansion, headlights fading into the night.
Inside, his P.A approached quickly.
P.A:"Sir,
you have a meeting with the stakeholders tonight."
Without hesitation, Vaduganathan logged into the online
conference. Faces appeared on the screen — stern, calculating, eyes sharp with
expectation.
Stakeholders:"We have
done everything for your party. Based on surveys and reports, the majority of
people chose you over the ruling party. Victory is within reach."
Vaduganathan leaned forward, his voice trembling with
excitement.
Vaduganathan:"Is this
real? Are we truly going to win? I just want to thank you for your support and
contribution these past months."
But the stakeholders' expressions did not soften. Their
eyes remained serious.
Stakeholders:"Yes, but
remember our agreement. If you win, you must execute our plan. Do not forget."
Vaduganathan smirked, his grief fading into ambition.
Vaduganathan:"Forget?
How could I forget? This is the greatest deal of my life. Don't worry. Once the
party is elected, I will take care of everything."
The screen flickered, the meeting ended. Vaduganathan sat
back in his chair, shadows dancing across his face. His smirk lingered — half
grief, half hunger for power.
The meeting ended in laughter. Vaduganathan and the
stakeholders celebrated their predicted victory, their voices echoing with
confidence. Hours later, he retired to his bed, exhaustion pulling him into
sleep within minutes.
Narration:"But in
the realm of dreams, laughter turned to screams."
Vaduganathan found himself running with his friends. A
strange figure pursued them — faceless, merciless. One by one, his companions
fell, slaughtered without pity. Blood soaked the ground, their cries fading
into silence.
Vaduganathan ran, desperate, his heart pounding. He reached
the end of the place, thinking he was safe. But suddenly, the strange figure
appeared before him, blocking his escape.
Vaduganathan (terrified):"No…
no… stay away!"
The figure unleashed cannibals — grotesque, ravenous
beasts. They swarmed him, tearing at his body. His scream echoed as the blade
cut through his neck.
Vaduganathan (screaming):"Aaaaaaahhhhhhh…
my body… what happened to them?!"
He jolted awake, drenched in sweat.
Vaduganathan (panting):"Ah…
it was just a dream. Thank God… you saved me from that nightmare."
But then — the twist. As he turned his head in bed, his
body froze. His breath caught in his throat.
Narration:"For the
nightmare had followed him into reality."
The masked man stood inches from his face, silent,
unblinking.
Vaduganathan's eyes widened in horror. His scream died in
his throat
