The port was not too far from their current location, and after twenty minutes, they arrived. They were immediately received as soon as they got out of the car. Noticing the royal guards around, Rylan merely nodded to them.
Not really acquaintances, but could recognize each other.
"Your Highness," someone wearing a simple black suit bowed, and they were led to a medium-sized yacht docked at the port.
Savier observed it for a moment, then nodded his head. Although he wanted a bigger one, this would do for now. He did not want to appear as someone who indulged in luxury too much in front of Rylan.
Judging from the surprise look of the staff, they were quite surprised and bewildered that, for once, the yacht in Savier's name was finally put to use.
The Crown Prince was known to be focused on his studies and rarely spotted in social events or friends' hangouts, unlike his twin, Arle.
"Is it ready to sail?. As I've said, I... and my bodyguard will stay in my beach house for two days." Savier looked at Rylan at his side, a rare satisfaction in his heart.
He liked the feeling of being with the alpha even though they were not actually talking. It created the illusion that he was going with his partner, even though he was the only one thinking that way.
There were not many instructions that needed to be given; the staff already knew, and they got to work right away. Soon, Savier was followed by Rylan boarded the yacht, which was bigger than he thought.
In fact, it was more than enough.
During this journey, Savier had to bring three more people to operate the yacht and other things. Still, interactions would be close to none.
Savier wanted this vacation to be like only them to have a boost in his progress. What he called a double the experience event.
"Don't worry, I told the butler I won't come home." Savier stood on the deck together with Rylan, overlooking the nightscape of the city, getting farther away.
The wind brushed against their faces, creating a free atmosphere. Savier leaned his body against the railing, looking so comfortable and at ease.
"What has gotten to you all of a sudden?" Rylan could not help but ask. Seeing Savier like this was new, or probably the months he stayed beside him, and seeing the prince was almost only going to and from school, made him think he did not like going out much.
And so, he did not think this trip was just a whi,m even if that was truly the case.
Savier smiled and let the wind mess his hair, and he shut his eyes for a few seconds before he opened them and looked at Rylan.
"Is it bad to rest?"
Seeing him taken aback, Savier laughed and shook his head. How could Rylan still be so adorable and seem not used to him acting this way yet?
"There's no meaning." Savier shrugged and gave a seemingly innocent smile. He then put his right arm around Rylan's shoulders, drawing their bodies closer. "Just enjoy..."
Savier's lips were too close against Rylan's ear as he whispered, causing the other's ear to twitch once more, tickled by his hot breath.
Rylan looked up, stared at that smile. The two looked at that for a while before Savier saw the alpha nod.
Savier's other hand clenched in a fist of victory, first step done.
They ate dinner on the yacht, and Savier was thankful he had cancelled his thought of having the staff prepare a candlelit dinner. That was too romantic and not even Rylan would be puzzled if Savier did that; he was sure that his parents would be informed as well.
In fact, just his using the yacht might already have reached Savier's parents. This was truly a surprising event for them, after all.
At least, a simple dinner would not cause suspicions.
The island he thought to spend the weekend on was not a private one, but were still only the wealthy could access. This was the island closest to the land, and considering he had classes by Monday, he could only choose this particular island.
And the other reason was... it was a small beach house, with only two rooms, one bathroom, and a simple kitchen. The property must be the smallest personal beach house on the island.
It was located in a secluded part, with the next property being ten minutes' walking distance. Although not private enough for Savier's taste, it would do for a couple of days away.
Savier wanted the two of them to stay in the beach house while the other three could just stay in the yacht, not like the living conditions inside were not good, and even might be better.
"Where to put this, Your Highness?" The alpha asked, holding a luggage. Savier frowned, but seeing there were other people still, he let it go.
"In the room, wait..." Savier held Rylan's wrist and led him to the first room, which had a huge queen-sized bed inside and a cabinet.
Though small, it was clean and had a good ambiance.
He let Rylan put down the luggage and rummaged through it.
"Our outfits are here."
"Ours?"
Savier glanced at Rylan and chuckled. "What do you think, I'll let you use those clothes for two days?"
He asked to prepare for three days' worth of clothes for two people. He did not know Rylan's size, but he could guess, and errors would not be far off.
"It's all new. Don't worry."
"I'm not worried about that," Rylan sighed and looked strangely at Savier, who was rummaging through the luggage.
He looked happy and was too immersed in it that whatever Rylan was about to say became stuck in his throat. Rylan found it hard to dampen his spirits when Savier was very sensitive if he refused or said something that lowered himself.
Rylan was well aware of this, and lately, Savier did not conceal his expressions either.
He cared. Rylan had grown to realize this. Perhaps, Savier cared too much for him that he was sometimes confused.
Why did Savier act like this? Was getting closer to Rylan, someone who would protect him, too important? Probably, maybe.
The clothes were organized soon enough, and they left the room. The others had already bid farewell and returned to the yacht, and finally, it was only the two of them.
