It's been a few days since Alastor arrived in Westfall city and let's say he was a bit overwhelmed by the reception he received whenever he went out the mansion to explore the city.
"May the Holy Light bless you Prince Alastor!"
"Thank you for your kindness my lord!"
"We owe you our very lease on life! My prince!"
"LONG LIVE THE PRINCE!"
The reason for this was simple ever since Alastor discovered his talent for invention and innovation alongside his Technopathy he had joined the Science Guild as one of it's members to get access to their knowledge.
As well as ancient machinery that was no longer in working condition either due to ancient damage or disrepair over the course of the Millennia as they broke down despite the best efforts to keep them in working condition.
But this was not the Science Guild's fault.
Due to the Stygian Ages much of Azeroth's accumulated knowledge had been lost alongside the blue prints or crucial parts of the blue prints allowing the manufacturing of more of these technologies.
Alastor used his technopathy to "scan" these broken machines and through his connection he was able to "view" the most intricate structure of theirs and soon after his mind would go into overdrive as it would go through several avenues to not only fill in the blanks.
(AN: Kind of like Structural analysis from Fate stay night of Shiro Emiya!)
But also offered multiple other avenues in which it could be fixed as well as ways in which it could be used or at least it's corresponding knowledge.
Not to mention the ways it could be further improved upon.
Alastor after gaining a working model he was satisfied with, would make it into a simplified blue print alongside it's technical knowledge which he would store in a Data slate.
Alastor mostly worked and practiced on ancient technologies that were were for civilian use and even invented other things to help the populace.
With the only military grade tech he worked on were those made for the Royal Guard since he was a bit hesitant of introducing powerful weapons.
So he decided he would only do it after he refined his military grade designs further and found a suitable way to introduce and equip them to their armies so that a majority of them would stay in their hands.
Long story short, to make sure most of these inventions would help the commoners Alastor struck a deal with the Stormwind Science Guild
In which instead of paying him a hefty sum or some other honour he had them personally fund the manufacturing, spread and dissemination the new tech over the populace.
AND if any other human nation's Science Guild or other races mostly the Dwarves and Gnomes etc wanted to purchase the blue prints of these new tech from the Stormwind Science Guild.
Then the manufacturing, spread and dissemination clauses were non-negotiable alongside whatever deal was to be struck.
This had the unintended "side-effect" of not only making him loved and respected by the Stormwind kingdom's populace but many others outside the kingdoms.
Westfall's rejuvenation had a large part due to the tech provided by Alastor which not only revived the region but also allowed the farmers and other workers to do their work more efficiently, easily securing their livelihood and allowing them to not worry about overwork or underpay.
Suffice to say Alastor was perhaps one if not the most beloved Royal on Arda.
-------------------------------------------------
Alastor despite his discomfort would always give a kind smile to the people especially the commoners as he simply told them how it was his duty as a prince to try his best to better his people's lives.
He hoped by showing humility and modesty this stampede of excessive (in his view) praise would stop or at the very least lighten.
He had successfully Failed.

Llane on the other hand was going around on his tour of Westfall and taking a inventory as well as inspection how everything was being run, So far everything was good.
If there was a problem it was actually not in the city itself but in the frontier regions near the border specifically the Frontier towns and their villages.
Apparently the old Nobles that Llane had punished and removed from power did not include ALL their former supporters and helpers who even if not helping them directly were still corrupt and these people had entrenched themselves in the Frontier settlements.
It was in this that Alastor offered his father to go check the Frontier towns out in his place.
It was so he could be a bit away from the people's goodwill for a bit until and hoping that by being away he could centre himself and deal with the attention with more ease.
It was also because he wanted to take the chance to explore a bit more outside of City.
Llane eventually agreed and let Alastor tour and inspect the frontier towns as his representative while also giving him a contingent of 100 Royal guards accompany him.
-------------------------------------------------
Suffice to say Alastor was enjoying his time as he and his escorts drove through the lands. Alastor admired the nature and landscapes around the areas marvelling at nature's beauty when unrestrained.
There first stop was easy and smooth, the town head was dutiful and honest man and after staying there for 2 days and inspecting the records and the area and not seeing anything wrong Alastor gave the man praise before leaving for the next town.
Unfortunately on the third town Alastor felt his good mood plummet as soon as he entered it's walls.
For one the people in it seemed significantly more miserable and no to mention there were much more beggars on the streets.
This was strike one, strike two was when he and his men did get to the Town lord's mansion and were greeted by a affluent man, Viscount Lucius Quilton.
"My prince! What a surprise I was not informed that you would be coming to the borders?"
His acting was good but any experienced warrior or official would catch the subtle tenseness of his facial muscles as well as the fact that his eyes had subtly shifted away from Alastor's own eyes.
But for a Primarch especially one with Psionics, it was no different from a child deliberately hiding something very bad and with a simple mind prod on his surface thoughts seeing that the man didn't look like a warrior or even a mage it went completely unnoticed.
Panic, anger and greed were the main emotions Alastor caught along with some very colourful curses blaming his subordinates for not informing him and cursing him in ways that would have had the accompanying Royal guard cut him down if they knew it.
Alastor immediately asked, more like ordered to see the Town's registry and past supply deals and had ignored all attempts of the Lord to have him rest first.
Using the fast cognition speed of a Primarch it was easy for Alastor to go through the documents in less than a minute.
Suffice to say Alastor expression darkened as he read through them and saw discrepancies and some subtle entries that conflicted with other accounts.
Alastor immediately ordered to have the man arrested on charges of corruption, embezzlements and dereliction of duty while a investigation would be held to see if there was anymore crimes.
Lucius did not seem willing to go and had his men attack Alastor's forces....and Alastor questioned if he had some screws loose.
Considering how he had local militia attack his Honour guard who were equipped with power armour, Helios Laser weapons and power swords.
He DID say that he had only upgraded and tweaked with the Honour Guards armaments.
Not even five minutes later the Town Lord was beaten black and blue and thrown in a cell as Alastor temporarily took power.
