------------------------------------------------------

Anduin abruptly stood up once he heard from the commlink how Alastor and Grimgor were fighting.

"Where's my gear!?"

He hastily asked, the boy who he literally saw as a son was fighting against the most Light damn dangerous Ork in their world's history!

Anduin knew Alastor was strong, and was perhaps one of the few that actually knew Alastor's combat powers when he went all out but this was an Ork who had personally slain who knowns how many Heroes and Champions.

Not to mention he had personally fought Grimgor when he led his decapitation strike to kill Borgut thinking he was the Warlord.

Because of that Anduin knew just how terrifying Grimgor's strength was so he knew that Alastor had a legitimate chance of dying!

He would never be able to face Llane and Taria, hell he would never be able to forgive himself if Alastor died under his watch.

Anduin Lothar was practically considered a member of the Royal family with how close he was to them, Llane and him were practically brothers, Taria was the sister he never had and Varian was one of his proudest students and surrogate nephew.

But Alastor was perhaps the closest to Anduin just as much as Llane, at first he was like Varian to him, a proud student and a surrogate nephew but eventually Anduin practically starting seeing the boy as his surrogate son and successor.

So in a way Anduin was terrified at the thought of Alastor becoming Grimgor's latest kill.

"Lord Anduin, I'm sorry but we can't let you go to the battlefield like this! You were just healed and you're condition has atrophied so you can't perform at your best."

"This was also Prince Alastor's orders." Loretta quickly dissuaded him as Anduin paused.

Calming himself he chastised himself knowing Loretta was right, at his current condition even if he entered the battle alongside Alastor he would not be able to support him but also be a burden for him to protect.

Instead he decided on a new course of action.

"Get me my gear regardless, until Alastor returns I'm taking over the management of troops besides I might not be at my best but I'm not so far gone that I'll let anything less than a Black Ork Warboss have the chance to kill me."

The commanders looked at eachother but nodded knowing that seeing Anduin Lothar once again leading them against the Orks would be a boost for their army.

Alastor couldn't give orders while fighting against Grimgor there was also the fact that Grimgor's arrival had boosted the Ork's momentum while hitting the human's morale hard.

Not that they could be blamed, for all the current soldiers at Fort Clover, the name Grimgor Ironhide was only a fairytale name their parents would use to scare them especially since it was over a century since Grimgor was last seen.

With many people even thinking the Ork either didn't exist or was dead.

Now that nightmare of an Ork had re-emerged at the head of a WAAAAGGHHH!! and even almost killed a decorated Knight like Anduin Lothar!?

That was not including the sheer bloodthirst he was projecting and the path of destruction he was leaving behind before he was confronted by Alastor.

The only reason the soldier's morale didn't completely break down and they were still fighting was because even now Alastor was fighting him and holding his own.

Along with the fact that even when fighting such a monstrous Ork Alastor was still projecting his battle meditation over his forces to dispel their fear and reinforce their resolve.

Even when he had to lower the amount of power and concentration he was giving it previously causing him to to only be able to reinforce his men.

Not that it's effect against the Orks would have worked either way at the moment, since with Grimgor's arrival and the Orks own increased aggression their WAAAAAGGHHH energy covered their side in an almost protective layer.

So seeing Anduin Lothar leading them again and fighting alongside them would stabilize any instability of their position.

They just hoped that Prince Alastor was able to kill Grimgor.

---------------------------------------------------

'WHAT DOES IT BLOODY TAKE TO KILL THIS ORK!?'

Alastor thought in frustration as it been 3 whole hours since he began fighting Grimgor and no matter what he did he wasn't able to land a winning blow against him!

He had found out in their bout that aside from monstrous physical strength Grimgor's endurance and vitality was just as monstrous, wound that would normally kill most Warbosses barely phased him as he tanked through them.

Not to mention he would immediately begin regenerating from wounds not long after they were dealt to him.

What was worse was in fact the WAAAGH! energy that covered Grimgor like a defensive garment.

Grimgor as the Ork's Warlord was the focal point of the current WAAAGH's energy which was normally used by Warbosses to amplfy their own power and help them unify their Horde's chaotic instincts.

Grimgor even without his followers WAAAAGH! energy had what Alastor could only call a literal cyclone of WAAAGH! energy inside his body.

This WAAAAGH! energy covered him like a protective garment or cloak that made Alastor's magic and Psionic powers practically useless against him.

Alastor had through constant training and experimentation far improved upon his drawing of Purified Warp energy that now he didn't have to settle for purifying a certain amount of energy for use at a time.

Alastor could now draw upon and purify the Warp's energy at the same time making it that he no longer needed to manually purify the energy as long as he didn't draw too much that his body's "filter" couldn't handle.

But as a Primarch his limit was already much higher than most Psykers could even dream off so Alastor didn't worry about that much.

It was because of that, Alastor had all but bombarded Grimgor with a barrage of deadly spells and Psychic techniques and they were all either nullified when they touched the dense WAAAAGH! energy clothed around him.

Firestorms, Blizzards, Ignis cannons, Thunder lances, Wind blades, Gravity blasts, Spatial tear, Telekinetic blasts were some of the things he had used.

And none of them were able to pierce the WAAAAGH field around him which almost acted both as a enhancement and anti-magic field for him.

Due to this Alastor abandoned magic attacks and engaged Grimgor in melee combat using his Psionics to augment his physical abilities instead.

"C'mon, humie! HIT 'arder! Can't remember da last time I 'ad dis much fun in a good scrap!"

"With Pleasure!" Alastor's reply was a fierce and blurring assault with his sword as he charged in his guard.

Grimgor on the other hand was having the time of his life! Finding this human to be not only durable but equally as skilled in fighting!

Gork and Mork truly didn't abandon him to boredom! otherwise they wouldn't have sent him such a great opponent.

Alastor at first was able to match Grimgor in strength when he used the full power of his Primarch physical might not to mention he had augmented himself with Tactile Telekinesis using his Psionics.

But Grimgor quickly matched him similarly using his vast WAAAGH energy as Alastor changed his tactics.

He knew he couldn't fight Grimgor relying on strength alone nor could he make this an attrition battle so instead Alastor fought him using his speed to hit him hard and quick and to dodge or parry his blows.

Grimgor despite his straightforward and violent fighting style proved himself as a combat genius when not long after Alastor used his new strategy, Grimgor started using his instincts to predict Alastor's attacks and movement to launch his own.

And thus 3 hours had passed with the two of them fighting eachother in violent and destructive bouts with each time they engaged in combat.

Their fight was so destructive that each time their weapons clashed the air around them was violently displaced, Shockwaves burst with them at the epicentre, the earth around them cratered and cracked.

As the very ground shook like a localized earthquake that just refused to stop as long as these fought!

"Are these two really mortals!? I heard that Prince Alastor was powerful but this is something else!" A young Stormwind soldier of the 32nd garrison said in shock as he watched the distant Clash and felt the ground periodically shake despite the distance.

"Boy! eyes on the line!" The soldier's captain slapped him on the back as he shot a charging Stormboy with his Helios rifle.

"And boy...you're first mistake was thinking they were mortal in the first place."

"But...But the prince is human right!?"

"Aye he is, but who said all humans were mortal?"

There were points when it comes to strength, knowledge, skill and ability that a mortal leaves the conventions of "common" perception.

These people who truly earned the right to be called "extraordinary" always displayed traits and talents that would put them apart from the rest of their kind for better or worse.

Such people are in a very low minority but throughout human history and the history of many other races they had made their mark and influenced events far beyond their stations.

They were known by many names and titles.

Demons, Heroes, Monsters, Demigods and at time...

Even Gods themselves.

--------------------------------------------------

An Ork Warboss fell down to the ground dead with a huge gash that almost bisected him.

Anduin flicked his sword of the Ork's blood frowning despite the cheers around him for clearing a breach led by the now dead Warboss.

"Too long.....I'm really out of shape....." The man sighed at the time it took to kill a Warboss knowing if he was at his peak condition it would take much less time.

"Anduin, good to see you up and about." Alleria vaulted over the Fort's wall using her athletic ability and a wind spell before landing in front of him.

"Alleria? Good to see you too lass but why are you here? I tought you would be with Alastor?"

Alleria shook her head a bit bitterly as she looked beyond the wall at the distant part of the battlefield with the destruction being made there was even visible from their location.

Anduin understood, Alleria knew like him, she would not be able to provide any assistance to Alastor in such a fight.

Both Orks and humans avoided that part of the field knowing to enter it was a death sentence just from the shockwaves if not the two combatants.

Alastor and Grimgor's battlefield.

"My mother would tell me and my sisters of the time she had survived against Black Ork King on his first rampage, when teaching us of the dangers of the foes we would one day face."

"Her eyes always had this look of unease and fear when she recalled that event, I always wondered how much worse could a Ork, even a Black Ork be? Maybe mother was deliberately trying to scare us."

"Now...I just want to know how my mother survived an enounter with that....thing!"

Anduin frowned listening to her but understood where she was coming from despite Alleria and her sisters living through the years when Grimgor was active more than a century ago they had never encountered Grimgor or one his subordinate Warbosses.

But having personally witnessed his power, Anduin could understand why it was so despairing to fight him.

"You fought him Anduin....what was it like?"

Anduin laughed hollowly as he remembered.

"Alleria I didn't fight him, I survived against him, that thing is more of a force of destruction than a living being, everything about him was unnatural and his only goal was to find the strongest of opponents and crush them himself."

"I pray that Alastor is able to kill him, cause he might be the only one in the continent that can."

Alleria hefted her plasma bow and her eyes hardened.

"Then at the very least let's make sure Alastor has nothing to worry about on our side."

Anduin nodded in agreement with her, the best they could do was break the Ork army's assault at best killing them or at worst forcing them to retreat.

Good, he had been itching to meet Borgut again and this time condition or not he intended to at least put that Ork 6 feet under.

And with that Anduin and Alleria along with the Fort commanders led the final counterattack against the Ork army with quite a few of them targeting High value targets like Anduin going on his hunt for Borgut.

-----------------------------------------------------

Alastor came out of the haze of battle as he noticed the Ork army being routed and forced to begin a retreat.

He needed to end his fight as well.

He looked at Grimgor and started drawing upon purified Warp energy and he fought him in close quarters again but as he swung his axe.

Alastor dodged by lowering himself and then got into his guard blinding him with a large blast of Holy light which only disoriented him for a split second.

Good.

Alastor knew the chance of delivering a decisive blow was hard with Grimgor's instincts as well as his monstrous vitality and defence so he contented himself for a draw!

Alastor released the Warp energy into overcharging his chosen spell as before Grimgor reoriented himself he found himself trapped within a rapidly swirling tornado of wind which Alastor launched hundreds of meters high into the sky and far from their location.

"WOT DA ZOGGIN' 'ELL?!?"

Those were Grimgor's last words as he was quickly taken into the sky far away from the area which broke the Ork's morale as they once more ran back to the Savage land.

Alastor sighed hoping that by some miracle Grimgor would die once he fell to the ground but his gut told him it wouldn't likely kill him.

---------------------------------------------

When Alastor did come back to the Fortress he sneaked in, and teleported directly in the war room.

Currently only the commanders, Loretta, Anduin and Alleria were in there.

The commanders and Loretta gave him awed looks since Alastor was now the first man who had not only matched Grimgor blow to blow but had denied him a victory.

Anduin looked at him with a mix of worry and pride, as Alastor smiled beneath his helm seeing him up and about.

And finally Alleria who looked at his battered armour with a hint of worry being the first time she ever saw him in such a state.

Looking at Alleria, Alastor used his thought-link to have his helmet collapse into his armour only to realize it wasn't able to due to being battered quite a bit as well.

Alastor chuckled a bit awkwardly as he manually removed his helmet from his head and even with a dishevelled appearance gave her a cheeky smile.

"How do I look?"

"Like a Giant decided to use you as a chew toy."

"Huh?...better than I expected honestly, guess that a win for me at least" Alastor nodded to himself "thoughtfully" and considering he saw the worry in her eyes lessen and a small exasperated smile come to her face.....

He considered that.

Another victory.
