Roger looked at me a bit unnaturally, not expecting me to dare play like this! He really regretted not just doubling the money to see my cards earlier?
Daring to play the chicken-bluff with him!
In the third round, my hand was still lousy. I looked around and figured I could only beat Albert; the others, Roger and Jerry Thomas, were out of my league. It wasn't a good time to bluff; if the others had good hands, they wouldn't be afraid to gamble. If caught bluffing, it would definitely backfire.
I immediately folded in the third round. Roger chuckled, "I thought you were going to keep bluffing."
"I'm not stupid. Even if I treat my opponents like fools, you wouldn't fall for it a second time, would you?" I smiled, indirectly insulting them.
Roger snorted and tossed his cards, while Albert claimed the pot.
In the fourth round, after the cards were dealt, I didn't even look at my cards before saying to Roger, "How about we play something exciting this round?"
