Chapter 54 – An Indelicate Intruder
The party had spiraled into something far beyond what anyone had originally planned, the mansion's vast halls now packed with demons from every ring of Hell. After a while, Razan stood off to the side, surveying the gigantic gathering in his house with several people he hadn't even invited.
Razan said, feeling the corner of his mouth twitch upon seeing Velvet and Valentino mingling in the crowd:
— Damn Beelzebub. I bet it was her who made this mess. She would never accept a normal party.
At that moment Blitzo appeared beside Razan and said:
— Dude, what a fucking awesome party! There's so much booze. I'm getting wasted today.
Razan said:
— All right. Just don't blow up my house, okay?
Blitzo said smiling, already half drunk:
— You're my great friend who sends me easy money. I'm not going to blow up your house, no.
Millie then appeared and said:
— Boss, you're causing trouble. Let's drink over there. Come on.
Moxxie pulled Blitzo too and said:
— Let's go, boss. Over there has more drinks on that side.
Blitzo said:
— More drinks? Where?
He then went with them.
Razan looked at that and smiled and said softly:
— Am I that scary?
He then heard a voice saying:
— Well, you don't exactly have the happy face like the princess.
Razan looked behind and saw Carmilla Carmine.
He then smiled and said:
— Well, what did I do to deserve the company of such a beautiful lady here today?
Carmilla said:
— I received the invitation from one of the seven deadly sins. So I couldn't help but come.
Razan said:
— Damn Beelzebub making a nerd like me expose myself to a social environment where my social battery runs out faster than a used iPhone battery.
Carmilla said:
— Well, it seems you're not enjoying the party much.
Razan said:
— Well, dragons have very sharp senses. Meaning these strange mixed smells and bad loud music in my ear aren't exactly my definition of fun.
Vaggie then appeared and sat with them.
Razan smiled and said:
— What happened?
Vaggie said tired:
— I love Charlie, but I don't have energy to keep dancing and singing with her anymore.
Razan said smiling:
— Well, who told you, as an introvert like me, to date the queen of extroverts?
Vaggie said:
— But don't you date Loona too?
Razan smiled and said:
— Loona isn't extroverted. She's just an introvert with a bigger social battery than ours.
He barely finished speaking and Loona arrived and sat on Razan's lap.
Razan pulled her into his arms.
He then looked at her and smiled and said:
— Well, social battery already dead?
Loona said: It was fun for a while, but then I can't stand being surrounded by people anymore. This is your fault for infecting me with your anti-social factor.
Razan said:
— I don't think you were that social when we met. You clearly didn't even want to talk to me.
Loona said: Well, because I thought you were evil. But you can't blame me for that. After all, look where we are.
Razan said:
— Well, that's true.
Razan then rested his chin on Loona's head while playing with her dog ears with his free hand.
He looked at the mess the party turned into with Beelzebub singing and animating in the center and said:
— Loona, how many did you invite?
Loona thought a bit and said:
— I think about twenty people.
Razan: There must be at least 300 people here. What a mess it's going to be to clean up everything later.
At that moment Charlie approached and fell into Vaggie's arms, who hugged her.
She asked:
— What happened?
Drunk Charlie said:
— Vaggie, I love you.
Razan, looking at drunk Charlie after one glass, thought:
That's why a certain someone can only drink boxed juice.
Vaggie looked at Charlie in her arms and smiled happily.
Loona looked at them and said:
— Vaggie, if you want a place to sleep with Charlie, you can take our room. Here's the key.
Vaggie said:
— Well, I feel kinda bad intruding so much.
Razan said:
— Charlie is so used to sleeping here that she only stopped sleeping here almost every day when she started dating you. This is almost her second home. And since you're her girlfriend, this is your home too. You don't need to feel like a stranger here.
Vaggie said:
— Well, thank you. I'll accept.
At that moment a giant light spear fell toward the city.
But before it hit, a barrier enveloped the city protecting from the light spear.
The barrier shook a few times, but held.
Everyone then looked up and saw Adam with his army of angels.
He looked down and said:
— You sons of bitches throwing a party and not inviting me? You're really some fuckers.
Valentino and Velvette, seeing this, smiled and said:
— Well, things are starting to get interesting.
Vaggie, seeing Adam and Lute in the sky, said angrily:
— What do those damn bastards want here today?
Razan looked at Adam, feeling that today he was going to have a huge headache to deal with.
Razan held Loona and looked at Adam and said:
— Well, I don't know why my instinct says Adam is going to be the least of my problems tonight
