I was currently heading back to my condo when the private investigator suddenly called.
Cellphone rings
"Hello~," I said softly.
"Ah, Ma'am, good evening!" the voice on the other line replied.
"Hey, what's the news?"
"Based on my investigation over the past few days, I've learned that he is Eduardo Sanchez, your father's business rival.
He is fifty-one years old and currently lives in El Salvador, Pampanga.
The data says that he is one of the most powerful businessmen here in the Philippines, and one of his businesses here is the illegal entry of various equipment, including unlicensed weapons, from different foreign countries.
He also has an illegal gambling business in Makati, and Adolfo was once addicted to gambling there; he often hangs out there when he doesn't have work. As far as I know, Adolfo owes Eduardo Sanchez a large sum of money, no less than two million."
"I'll call you later when I have a new update on my investigation."
"Okay, thanks for the information," I said to him.
"You're welcome, Ma'am!"
Then I hung up the cellphone.
"Eduardo Sanchez, huh!"
"You can run, but you can't hide from me, Mister!"
"Even if you hide in any corner of the world, I will find you. Don't you dare to mess with a brat like me." I wickedly grin.
I grip the steering wheel tightly, and I sped up because I noticed three black SUVs tailing me.
"You're really testing me, huh!"
I drove my car at full speed, and I tried to lose them, but they're still following me; it's so irritating.
"Your idiocy will only lead you to death," and I maniacally laugh.
Now we're chasing each other on NLEX. Moments later, they took out a gun and rained a series of shots on me.
I couldn't hold back anymore; I forcefully got my gun and rained bullets on them too, because if I didn't fight back, even against my will, I might be the first to die, and you know, I won't let that happen.
