"Good," the man said, and then he teleported with Roy.
Aren, who had been watching the entire thing, was left with tons of questions.
"Demonic energy? What's that, and why did he react to it that way?"
A lot of questions flooded Aren's mind, but there was no one to answer them for him.
"Sigh, that's not important now," he sighed and continued his climb. The thought was still at the back of his mind, but he couldn't be worried about what he didn't know.
The journey up was pretty much bland for him. He climbed stair after stair and fought monster after monster. He was getting slower due to the pressure and the constant walking, but ultimately, there wasn't any real hindrance, and by the midway point of the second day, Aren made it to the ninety-ninth floor, the final floor before the Arena.
So far, only Awakened monsters had come to fight him, but as soon as he stepped onto the floor alone, he was faced with a wyvern.
