Chapter 16 - chapter 16

Ten Years Later — The Bachelor Party That Wasn't Just a Party"

A decade had passed, and the universe had changed more times than anyone could count.

Ben Tennyson had saved reality so often that the Universe Council jokingly considered putting him on the payroll. He was older, wiser—well, as wise as Ben could get—and now a proud father. Kai Green, now Kai Tennyson, had married him after the final Cerebral War, and together they had a young son, Ken Tennyson, who was already more hyperactive than Ben at that age.Rook Blonko, Ben's brother-in-arms, had risen to the rank of Magister of Plumber HQ (Earth Division). Calm, disciplined, respected. Even Max admitted Rook had become "the responsible one." Max himself had finally retired, Verdona dragging him into a well-earned cosmic vacation.

And then there was Alex.

In ten years, Avalon Group had become the most powerful organization in the known universe—more advanced than Galvan labs, wealthier than any Earth corporation, respected even among other dimensions. Alex's wives—Velgrynd, Velzard, Venelana, Grayfia, Albedo, Lucy Mann, Charmcaster, and Looma Red Wind—had all given birth during the decade. He had become a full-time husband and father, happily drowning in diapers, interdimensional business meetings, and the chaos of a household filled with powerful women and even more powerful children.

Avalon Islands had become a sanctuary for the Tennyson family.Max, Verdona, Gordon, Camille, Joel—everyone visited often. Ben brought little Ken to play with Alex's children, and the place always echoed with laughter, chaos, and the occasional magical explosion.

But one person carried a hidden ache: Gwen Tennyson. She had completed four degrees, grown into a brilliant and elegant mage-scientist, and her relationship with Kevin was stable… mostly. But every time she saw Alex holding his children, or when his daughters clung to him, Gwen felt that familiar sting—the perfect guy she lost. And she knew it was her choice.

What hurt most?

Alex never changed. He was still kind, soft-spoken with her, understanding… but distant in the way a man with a full family had to be.

And now, fate decided to make things even stranger.

The Daughter of Magic

Among Alex's children, there was one who had everyone talking.

His daughter with Charmcaster—a quiet girl with silver-streaked hair and gem-blue eyes—was born with pure magic in her soul. She didn't just use magic. She was magic. Verdona sensed it immediately and practically abducted her with grandmotherly excitement.

Verdona:"Finally! Someone with REAL potential in this family besides Gwen! Come, darling, we're starting your lessons tomorrow!"

Charmcaster was proud, Alex was confused, and Gwen felt her heart twist again—because the girl reminded her of what might have been.

And that was the state of things when something unexpected happened.

Ben & Rook's Bachelor Trip — Alex Edition

Ben's tenth anniversary with Kai was coming up. Rook's promotion ceremony was scheduled for next month.Max suggested they take a break—just the old team, like the early days.

But Ben, being Ben, said:

Ben:"Dude, we're calling Alex. It's not fun without him."

Rook nodded. He missed their trio days, before Alex became the universe's most overpowered dad.

So they planned a Bachelor Party Weekend—not for a wedding, but because:

Ben needed a break from galaxy-level dad duties

Rook needed a break from paperwork and political meetings

Alex needed a break from being extremely married

Avalon Wives Council™ reluctantly agreed.

Velgrynd and Velzard pretended to be calm.Grayfia packed extra clothes for Alex because "Ben will get him into trouble."Venelana warned Ben not to influence Alex too much.Charmcaster threatened to hex them all if they came back injured.Albedo asked for pictures.Looma wanted to come until Alex begged her not to start a galactic brawl.Lucy and the kids waved happily, unaware daddy was going into chaos.

And so, the trio set out—Ben, Rook, and Alex—for what people would later call:

"The Most Controlled Disaster in Plumber History."
