Since they've seen the situation, there is no need to stay here anymore.
They start jogging back the way they came while discussing potential plans to get rid of the spirit beasts.
After a few minutes, they arrive back at the cave section that have an entry/exit that they took.
For the time being, this place is still empty.
Cloud decides that they should rest here for a while.
At the same time they can talk further about the plan.
The two agrees to this so they stop in this area and continue their conversation about the plan.
As they're having their conversation, a roar came from the other path that the three haven't seen where it leads.
Just when the three turn toward the sound, two other roars followed.
When they see the source of the sound, Xiao Fan and Fang Yue instantly draw their weapons.
Xiao Fan unsheath his sword while Fang Yue hold and unfurled her whip.
As for Cloud, he didn't draw his blade. He look calmly at the beasts that have just appeared with a slight smile.
"Perfect timing. Are you guys ready for your first battle with a spirit beast? Let's take one each. I assume nobody would complain, right?" Cloud said to the two.
"Good! I've been waiting for this." Xiao Fan said with excitement.
"This time, it won't be like last time." Fang Yue said next.
Just then, the three beast boars start charging toward them.
Xiao Fan charge toward the beasts while Fang Yue move to the side to attack from a distance that's perfect for her whip.
Cloud only stand there waiting. He moves his arms and neck to warm up while waiting for the enemy.
Xiao Fan is the first that clash. He target one boar at the right then start attacking it with his sword.
His attacks stop that boar's charging and switch its attention toward him.
Fang Yue attack the one on the left. She viciously whip at the boar.
The pain angers the boar to turn its charging toward her.
Cloud receive the last charging boar.
He stand in its way, caught its tusks with his hands, then stop it from charging further.
He was pushed a few meters back before he can finally stop the boar. With a shout, he then lift the boar by its tusks, swing it to the side then throw it into a nearby wall.
The boar grunt in pain as it crashed into the wall.
But Cloud didn't give it any time to recover. Before the boar can even stand back up, he charge toward it and punch it two times at its belly and its ribs area.
The boar let out a pained squeal as it was hit.
Cloud then finish it with an even harder punch aimed at its broken ribs that was previously hit.
The internal organs of the boar that was already damaged got torn further by the broken shards of its ribs.
The boar squeal for one last time before it finally slump to the ground, dead.
At Xiao Fan's side, the boar that fight against him is already badly injured.
Its movement has slowed considerably and its body is full of slashing wounds caused by a sword.
Blood keeps pouring out from the many wounds and soon, the boar grunts, then died.
At Fang Yue's side, pained squeal keeps coming from there.
At this moment, the boar has already stop charging at Fang Yue since long ago.
Fang Yue is the one chasing after it instead.
After receiving a few hits from Fang Yue's whip, the boar became afraid of it and started running.
The blows from Fang Yue's whip is indeed that scary. It didn't just shred through the boar's thick skin, it also shred through the meat and muscles behind it.
A few, very deep gashes can be seen on the boar's body currently.
One on its belly is so deep that the boar's internal organs can be seen spilling from it.
After a few more whip from Fang Yue, the boar died because of blood loss, completely in agony.
The battle start and end at pretty much the same time.
Only about a few minutes has passed since it began.
"Damn it! I'm still slower than you, brother." Xiao Fan said after finishing his battle.
The three has some leeway to watch each other's battle so they know pretty much what happened.
Cloud finished first, followed by Xiao Fan then Fang Yue.
The difference between was only about a minute.
Cloud was able to finished quickly because he cleanly killed his opponent.
While Xiao Fan and Fang Yue took longer because their opponent died of blood loss.
