Tatsumaki, a legally adult woman who looks like a little girl, possesses an unparalleled psychic talent. She is the future S-Class Rank 2 Hero of the Hero Association and one of the world's ceiling-level combatants.
Her personality is tsundere and eccentric; she loves to mock others and hates it most when people call her small.
Aomori recalled the relevant information about Tatsumaki. This psychic girl, who shares a talent similar to Sabrina's, was undeniably powerful, but unfortunately, she also had a mouth on her.
Not wanting to get involved with her for now, Aomori nodded, gave a gesture of thanks, and smoothly zipped away without saying a word.
With his Lightning-elemental energy fully activated, Aomori was wrapped in bolts of electricity as he sped toward the distance.
Tatsumaki pouted, watching his retreating figure: "He runs fast. At least he's smart."
"Don't think you can escape! I will kill you!" Elder Centipede was still unaware of the situation. It was frantic and angry after chasing Aomori for half a day without catching him.
"Hey, you big bug! Your opponent is me now," Tatsumaki flew in front of Elder Centipede, hands on her hips, and said angrily.
"Get out of the way!" Elder Centipede slid its hundred legs, directly charging at her.
Tatsumaki wasted no time, extending an arm, applying her psychokinesis to Elder Centipede's body.
Elder Centipede felt as though it had plunged into a vast swamp; a powerful force was restraining it from all directions.
Its pupils contracted. Since breaking its species limits, this was the first time it had encountered anything like this. It finally realized the little girl in front of it was no ordinary opponent, but it was already too late.
"You're quite heavy, you know." Tatsumaki extended her other hand and lifted Elder Centipede's entire body into the air.
As the fingers of her two hands slowly clenched, Elder Centipede struggled with all its might, but to no avail, gradually being compressed into a ball.
"Do you know what it feels like to wring out a rag?" Tatsumaki closed her hands into fists, stacking them on top of each other.
Seemingly imagining the sensation, Elder Centipede let out a mournful cry: "No!"
"What an awful sound." Tatsumaki violently twisted the Monster, as if wringing a mop. Elder Centipede's body was immediately torn into pieces, with fluids splashing everywhere.
Tossing the remains of Elder Centipede aside, Tatsumaki dusted her hands. "Job done. Where should I go next?"
…
Meanwhile, after jumping off Elder Centipede, Aomori flew relentlessly toward B-City until he met up with Pidgeot and the others.
The live stream was a joint effort.
Darkrai was the cameraman, floating in the air to find suitable angles; Akihiko was the streamer, responsible for uploading the video online; Pidgeot was the mount, responsible for carrying the Laptop; Ditto was the strap, responsible for securing the Laptop to Pidgeot's body; and Absol was the guard, responsible for scouting and protection.
Absol, with its keen sensing ability, had communicated with Aomori as soon as Tatsumaki appeared. Based on Absol's description, Aomori guessed it was Tatsumaki who had arrived, and immediately ordered Pidgeot and the others to stop the live stream and find a hiding spot.
Given Tatsumaki's arrogant and self-willed nature, there was no guarantee she wouldn't attack Darkrai and the others.
"You guys did great," Aomori praised them.
"Sol!" Absol moved closer and told Aomori about its new discovery.
"Is that so? This is the perfect chance to test our combined technique."
Aomori and his four Pokémon turned together, looking in the same direction.
"Were we discovered?" Four strangely shaped Monsters stepped out of the shadows. They were the Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Iron Brothers, sent by Gyoro Gyoro to kill Aomori.
The eldest, Gold Monster; the second, Silver Monster; the third, Bronze Monster; and the fourth, Iron Monster. Half of their bodies were composed of their namesake metals, giving them powerful defensive capabilities and formidable attack power. Even a Monster of transcendent strength like Goketsu would have to expend considerable effort to defeat them.
Therefore, they were fearless in the face of Aomori, who had just escaped Elder Centipede's attack.
"Aomori, you..." Gold Monster was about to launch a threat when Aomori interrupted him.
"Time is short, so skip the nonsense. Let's fight."
…
After Tatsumaki finished off Elder Centipede, the sky suddenly became overcast and filled with thunder and lightning, immediately followed by heavy rain.
In the direction Aomori had fled, continuous bolts of purple lightning descended from the sky, striking the ground directly. The entire area was illuminated for a minute before the lightning finally stopped.
Oddly, the moment the lightning vanished, the heavy dark clouds also disappeared without a trace.
Tatsumaki rubbed her ears and looked puzzled: "This power is unusual. It seems artificial. Could it be that guy from before?"
She flew toward the lightning-strike location. Upon arrival, she found only four burnt, scorched corpses.
"It stinks!" Tatsumaki covered her nose, looked around, but didn't see the figure she expected. She turned to leave. "He ran really fast. That guy's name was Aomori, right? I won't forget you."
After Tatsumaki departed, the remains of Elder Centipede seemed to stir faintly.
…
When the lightning descended, the Police Guard and Bang and Bomb had already arrived nearby, witnessing the scene along with the onlookers.
"Terrifying power from the heavens." Even from this distance, Bang could feel the destructive force contained within the lightning.
"Compared to nature, we humans truly are insignificant," Bomb said. "However, no matter how insignificant, humans will never give up, no matter the difficulty."
"Well said, Onii-chan."
"Bang, your eyesight is better than mine. Is that Aomori up ahead?" Bomb pointed forward.
"Hmm?" Bang followed the direction of his pointing finger.
Ahead, a familiar figure was speeding towards them on a Motorcycle.
…
C-City, Super Arena.
The matches had already determined the final eight competitors, and three of the quarter-final matches had been completed, with the victors all being the seeded players of their respective groups.
When it was time for Aomori's match, the truth could no longer be contained. The deception involving the fake Aomori was exposed. Oomoto, as the person in charge, personally stepped forward, tearfully admitting the error to the angry audience and bowing in apology.
Additionally, Oomoto had a flash of inspiration and immediately broadcast the content of Aomori's live stream onto the big screen.
"Everyone, Competitor Aomori was attacked on his way here to compete. The Martial Arts Association bears undeniable responsibility for this. It would violate our martial arts principles to immediately disqualify Competitor Aomori. Therefore, we will now pause the matches. Let us all send our best wishes and support to Competitor Aomori!"
"Of course, if Aomori is too severely injured to continue in the tournament, we can only express our deep regret. Furthermore, we have prepared a small gift for all competitors and audience members. We hope you can understand the difficult position of the Martial Arts Association."
Oomoto's maneuver significantly increased the goodwill of Aomori's fans, saving the Martial Arts Association's reputation. However, Oomoto knew his job was certainly gone.
This is truly an undeserved calamity, Oomoto lamented in his heart.
The entire arena essentially became Aomori's live broadcast venue. Many who enjoyed fighting became fans due to Aomori's performance, and the arena was filled with continuous cheers.
Shortly after the live stream ended, news returned that Aomori was largely unharmed. This time, Aomori personally appeared on camera, stating that he would soon return to continue competing, which greatly delighted his fans.
"Hmph, good. If you had let something like that delay our ultimate showdown, I would have looked down on you forever," Garou said, a satisfied smile on his face.
