Chapter 2: The Strange Movements of Thor's Hammer
The Asura God King spoke slowly.
"To be precise, there are only two fallen gods with confirmed traces—both are first-level main gods, and coincidentally, both were found on Douluo Star."
He paused, then added, "However, not on the Sun and Moon Continent, but on the main continent—Douluo Continent."
The other four God Kings exchanged glances, understanding at once. The Evil God King chuckled.
"Hehe, I see. If I remember correctly, the one with the most widespread faith on Douluo Continent is the Angel God, who serves under you. No wonder you're the first to receive such news."
The Kind Goddess sighed helplessly.
"Evil, stop interrupting. Let Asura finish."
The Evil God King shrugged indifferently.
The Asura God King continued, his voice calm and firm.
"The first fallen god is the Evil God—a first-level main god under your command."
At that, the Evil God King fell silent, his expression darkening as he listened intently.
The Asura God King went on.
"During the Dragon God War, the five of us agreed to send the Evil God to infiltrate the divine beasts and launch a surprise attack at a critical moment. As expected, he succeeded. Without alerting anyone, he possessed the Bright Tiger, and while both sides were locked in battle, he ambushed and slew the Bright Dragon King. Unfortunately, the Evil God was later besieged and killed by the enraged divine beasts."
Even while recounting this, the Asura God King's tone remained calm and detached.
"After his death, the divine essence of the Evil God fused with the Bright White Tiger clan. That fusion caused the Bright White Tiger's wings to darken, and its light attribute transformed into darkness—creating the Dark Demon Evil God Tiger."
He added, "Only one Dark Demon Evil God Tiger can exist at a time. When it dies, if its divine essence isn't absorbed by another creature, the scattered essence will eventually recondense and once again possess a Bright White Tiger, giving birth to a new Dark Demon Evil God Tiger."
When the explanation ended, the Destruction God King turned to the Evil God King.
"Now that the Evil God's divine essence has been located, what do you plan to do?"
The Evil God King thought for a moment before replying.
"We'll wait and observe. The Divine Realm should avoid interfering with the lower realms unless absolutely necessary. Let humanity attempt to obtain the Evil God's essence on its own. If after ten thousand years nothing changes, then we can intervene."
"That works too," the other four God Kings agreed in unison.
Seeing that the matter was settled, the Asura God King didn't elaborate further. Instead, he lifted his left hand slightly, and a purplish-black warhammer appeared in his grasp.
The warhammer had clearly been reduced in size by divine power—the handle was only a foot long, covered in intricate engravings that, upon closer inspection, formed tiny lightning patterns. The hammerhead was round and heavy, glowing faintly with electric energy.
"Shura, Thor was under your command," the Kind Goddess said, puzzled at first but soon realizing the reason. "After his fall, his weapon—Thor's Hammer—was entrusted to you. Are you saying the second divine essence you found is Thor's?"
The Asura God King nodded, placing the hammer gently on the round table before him.
"That's right. The second divine origin is Thor."
The Destruction God King's eyes gleamed with nostalgia.
"Thor… what an extraordinary young man. He became a first-level god at such a young age and still had the potential to rise further. If not for his fall during the Dragon God War, he might have joined our ranks as a God King."
The Evil God King added, "Even in that war, he fought the Water Dragon King and Fire Dragon King alone and managed to perish together with them. A remarkable feat."
Ignoring their reminiscing, the Asura God King continued his explanation.
"After Thor's fall, a species of soul beast known as the Thunder Hell Prison Vine appeared on Douluo Continent. It absorbs the energy of thunder to grow stronger, but upon reaching a certain level, it self-destructs under the strain of the violent power within."
He looked at the others.
"It can be confirmed that the Thunder Hell Prison Vine carries Thor's divine essence. Like the Dark Demon Evil God Tiger, only one can exist at a time. Once it self-destructs, the Thunder God's essence will gradually recondense, forming a new Thunder Hell Prison Vine."
After finishing, he stated plainly, "I share the same view as Evil. We'll wait. Perhaps a human will eventually obtain the Thunder God's essence and re-establish his divine position. I've set the waiting period at ten thousand years."
The Kind Goddess nodded.
"You have authority over the gods under your command. It's your decision."
But just as they were discussing, the Thor's Hammer lying on the table suddenly sparked. A faint crackle of electricity surrounded it before bursting into bright lightning, completely enveloping the weapon. It rose into the air, drawing in vast amounts of primordial energy of heaven and earth.
"What's happening?" the Kind Goddess exclaimed. The five immediately stood, watching closely.
A golden light flashed within the Asura God King's eyes.
"Someone has merged with the Thunder God's divine essence. That resonance has disturbed the will remaining within Thor's Hammer."
The Evil God King smirked.
"Hah, we were just talking about it, and now someone's already inherited it. Interesting—very interesting."
Thor's Hammer continued absorbing energy until it suddenly halted. Then, glowing with violent lightning, it swung downward with tremendous force.
Crack… crack!
Bolts of thunder flashed as the seats of the five God Kings shattered to ash. Yet the round table, made of an unknown material, remained completely intact.
The Life Goddess chuckled.
"Thor's Hammer is attempting to break space. But the space within the God Realm—especially here in the Divine Realm Committee—is far too stable, reinforced by all five of us. It can't break through."
"Let's lift the spatial reinforcement and see what it intends," the Kind Goddess suggested.
The others nodded. Together, they released the barrier stabilizing the chamber.
Thor's Hammer flared again, gathering another surge of divine lightning before crashing down once more.
Crack… crack!
This time, space itself fractured like shattered glass. Amidst the chaos of lightning, a black spatial vortex appeared where the hammer struck—a swirling hole leading to the unknown.
As the thunder roared and the energy storm raged, a single streak of lightning broke free from the vortex and shot away—its destination, the mortal world below.
