After the two of them finished pouring their hearts out, a long silence settled between them.
The sun dipped lower in the sky, staining the clouds with a faint golden red, when Ye Lingling suddenly spoke.
"Tianlin, are you curious about what I look like?"
"Hmm." Yu Tianlin nodded honestly, then coughed lightly and tried to find himself a reasonable excuse. "I still don't even know what Sister Lingling looks like. If you run into danger in the future without your veil on and I don't recognize you at a glance, wouldn't that be a disaster?"
"Then I will show you."
As she spoke, Ye Lingling reached up and slowly removed her veil.
Underneath was a slightly pale face, clearly caused by long periods without sunlight. Her nose was small and delicate, her lips moist and soft-looking, enough to make one subconsciously want to take a bite.
