Chapter 429 - A Tailor-Made Sword

As a deity who had lived for countless ages, Loki had undoubtedly seen many strange and wondrous things. However, among the items currently displayed on the shop's shelves, there was not a single one she recognized.

Whether it was the peculiarly shaped firearms, ammunition, and explosives, or the vast array of potions with diverse effects, they were all making their absolute debut in Orario. Even the weapons and armor utilized a completely different method of forging. The etched inscriptions and materials, in particular, were things she had never heard of or seen before, yet they produced incredible results.

Based on this alone, Loki could deduce that Allen's origins were anything but simple.

Just as she was about to probe further, Ais finally made her decision. "Thirty million Valis! I want this sword!"

"Eh? Are you sure?" Loki's mouth dropped open in surprise.

Others might not know how picky this somewhat airheaded girl was regarding weapons, but Loki knew all too well. To put it bluntly, weapons forged by most blacksmiths couldn't even withstand the magic and skills Ais unleashed; they would instantly twist and snap under the tearing force of her gale-like winds. This was why Ais had originally chosen the Desperate Sword, a blade that emphasized nothing but indestructible sturdiness, lacking any additional attributes.

"Yes! This sword is excellent! It's stronger than my Desperate Sword. I just don't know exactly how much wind it can withstand," Ais nodded with an expression of total sincerity.

"Alright then. It's only thirty million Valis anyway," Loki shrugged, waving a hand dismissively.

As one of the two strongest Familias in the Labyrinth City, Loki didn't have a top-tier Level 7 adventurer like Ottar "The Warlord," but she did have several Level 6 elites. Her income was always well-secured. Furthermore, thirty million Valis wasn't actually expensive. Truly top-tier weapons were custom-made, and even at a "friendship price," they often cost upwards of a hundred million. Ottar's Black Sword, for instance, had a manufacturing cost of 410 million Valis. Thus, thirty million was a pittance to a truly powerful Familia and its adventurers.

Seeing his first sale consist of one of the most expensive items in the shop, a faint smile appeared on Allen's face. "In that case, the sword is yours. Just remember to send the payment within three days. If you're interested in anything else, feel free to choose; I'll give you a twenty percent discount."

"Oh? Really? Does that include the potions too?" A sharp glint flashed in Loki's eyes.

"Of course!" Allen gave an affirmative reply, a trace of a knowing smile on his lips.

He knew this goddess likely intended to buy them to have professionals perform a detailed analysis. Unfortunately, whether it was the brewing methods or the ingredients, these potions did not belong to this world. Research would be an exercise in futility.

Loki, unaware of this, immediately bought three to five bottles of each multicolored magical elixir on the shelves. She also grabbed over thirty bottles of various grades of healing potions. Finally, she purchased a Traveler's Backpack dropped from a dungeon, stuffed everything inside, and left the shop in high spirits, leading Ais back to their headquarters, the Twilight Manor.

The moment they walked through the door, Finn, who had been waiting for some time, inquired, "Well? Did you find anything suspicious?"

"Nothing suspicious, but I found a mountain of interesting things. By the way, have someone send over thirty-six million Valis. We bought quite a lot from his shop and haven't paid yet."

As Loki gave the orders, she dumped the contents of the backpack onto the table.

"Thirty-six million Valis?! What did you buy?" The Dwarf, Gareth Landrock, stared with wide-eyed surprise.

Loki pointed to the lightning-flickering longsword in Ais's hand. "This sword alone was thirty million!"

"Huh? This is... the power of wind and thunder infused into the blade?" Finn reached out a finger to lightly touch the edge. He instantly felt a sharp numbing sensation, while a gust of wind surged out and ruffled his hair.

"Yes. It increases my Strength and Agility to a certain degree, and it resonates with my Skills and Magic. In Orario, I have never seen a weapon capable of this," Ais said honestly, relaying her actual experience.

To prove her point, she immediately activated her magic: Ariel.

Instantly, the power of wind elements enveloped her body, significantly boosting her attack, defense, and speed. Ordinarily, this would be the limit of the skill. But in the next second...

The longsword suddenly erupted with an even stronger force of wind, harmonizing with Ariel! Not only that, but silver bolts of electricity wrapped around the blonde girl, providing a secondary enhancement to all her physical stats, especially her reaction speed.

"Unbelievable! This sword... it's as if it were tailor-made for Ais!" The Werewolf, Bete, couldn't help but exclaim in awe.

He wasn't the only one; everyone else had similar reactions. Although Orario saw the birth of legendary weapons from time to time with the help of the gods, a weapon that could achieve 100% synchronization with the wielder's own magic and skills, and even enhance and sublimate them, was a first.

"Spending thirty million on this was an absolute steal! With this sword, Ais will definitely be one of the strongest assets in the next expedition," Finn said, his eyes shining with excitement.

Soon, he seemed to think of something else and followed up eagerly, "Wait! Are there other similar weapons in that shop? I think we should buy them all! They don't even need to be this good; even if they have one-tenth the power of this sword, it would drastically improve the combat effectiveness of our first and second tiers."

"Let's put the weapons and armor aside for a moment. Try these elixirs." Loki quickly sorted the multicolored potions by their effects, lining them up neatly on the table.

Compared to physical goods, she was clearly more interested in these liquids imbued with mysterious power. In Orario, only two Familias had the ability to produce restorative potions: the Dian Cecht Familia and the Miach Familia. However, both were small in scale and primarily produced stamina recovery items which were scarce and expensive, far beyond the reach of low-level adventurers.

As for potions that could directly heal wounds, cure abnormal statuses like poison, or restore Magic Power... they simply didn't exist.

Because of this, Loki placed extraordinary importance on these elixirs. In her view, if such miraculous potions could be mass-produced, then regardless of Allen's true identity, he would inevitably be welcomed with open arms by the gods and high-level adventurers alike. If she could secure an agreement before other gods found out, she would gain the greatest advantage.
