Four of these domains were each ruled by one of the supreme immortal families.
The fifth domain, however, was ten times the size of the other four combined.
This was Immortal Cloud City.
The grand capital that is open to cultivators from every corner of the Four Regions.
No single clan claimed it.
It belonged to the Holy Court and the myriad powers that gathered under its banner.
Upon arrival, the first sight to greet any newcomer was the towering walls which were colossal barriers of white jade and immortal iron that stretched so high they vanished into the picturesque clouds.
Massive gates stood open day and night to allow an endless stream of traffic: flying swords, spirit boats, divine mounts and cultivators stepping through void rifts.
Inside the city, the air was lively.
Everyone dressed impeccably.
Silks, jade ornaments, beast pelts, demonic armor.
The culture was impossible to pin down.
