Chapter 115: Overwhelming

"Ahhh!" Voldemort roared, pulling a large amount of magic from his surroundings as well as V, to manifest a shield powerful enough to stop the boulders coming at him like bullets. "Magna Custodia!"

Everything was pushed away from him.

The broken white tower was torn apart, sending its fragments everywhere. The boulders collided with the shield and were reduced to gravel.

A bead of sweat fell across Voldemort's face. His breathing had become irregular, but he wore a satisfied smile. He had successfully repelled the attack.

"Now…it's my turn!" Crimson flames emerged around him. "Furor Ignis."

Dozens of gigantic flame spheres shot out and flew directly toward Harry.

The latter took off into the sky to avoid them.

"Hmm?" Only to notice that the spells were now following him. "They track me? Not bad. But…"

Harry stopped abruptly while mid-air and allowed all twelve fireballs to reach him.

His body became enveloped in a torrent of fire and destruction under the watchful eyes of the Dark Lord, who now looked a bit confused after seeing him make such an irrational decision.

"Is he dead?" Voldemort asked. "If he dies, I can leave this place, right?"

"If the creator of the pocket dimension dies, the artificial construct should vanish, unless a permanent anchor has been set in place to keep the dimension functional. In that case, the deconstruction will only occur once the anchor has run out of power or gets damaged," V responded.

"There is no way he had time to set any complex magical device in here. So I only need to kill him," Voldemort decided. His eyes were focused on the giant ball of flames floating in the air. He didn't think anyone could survive that, but he was not lowering his guard until he was sure.

"Warning. A spike of magical energy is being detected…" V said.

"Where?!" Voldemort shouted.

"Beneath yo-" Before V could finish his sentence, the ground below Voldemort broke apart and a burst of flames emerged from it.

At the same time, the ball of fire floating in the air was starting to quickly diminish in size.

The Dark Lord tried to move aside as quickly as he could but ended up suffering serious burns on his legs.

"Urgg!" His body went tumbling over the grass until he could get back to his feet.

"How did he do that…" Voldemort gritted his teeth. He never saw Harry move from the spot, but he had somehow escaped and turned his own spell against him.

There was only one way he could think of. "He used a portal!" Of course, he realized.

Gates could not be used to escape this dimension but could still be employed for moving around.

Harry had been studying these spells for much longer than him, so he had come up with all sorts of uses for them.

Suddenly, he heard noises coming from above. The previously blue skies were now turning dark. Nasty-looking clouds were covering everything, and thunder could be clearly heard.

"What now?...where is he? Find him!" Voldemort demanded.

"His magical signature is everywhere. It is not possible to pinpoint an accurate location," said V.

Harry was the creator of this dimension, so of course, his magic could be felt everywhere. V could only detect when a large amount of magic became concentrated in a single point, but that was about it.

"Useless!" Voldemort clenched his fists. "I will find him myself." He shot out into the sky, flying at great speed towards the clouds. "He is the one moving those clouds, so he must be up there."

His body broke through the mass of clouds and emerged on the other side.

Up there, the sunlight could now illuminate everything clearly, but he still saw no signs of Harry.

The Dark Lord looked around. "Where ar-"

"Warning. Above." The words of V came right before everything around Voldemort became covered in darkness.

A massive shape had formed above him and was now occluding the sunlight.

When Voldemort looked up, he saw something resembling a gigantic human hand, getting closer and closer.

"Custodia!" He only had time for a hastily summoned shield before being hit.

He went down like a bug having been hit by a flyswatter.

Voldemort crossed the mass of clouds and, unable to stop himself mid-air, continued until he made impact against the hard ground.

His shield had protected him from most of the damage, but the hit was still brutal enough to break several of his bones.

"Ahh…" He lay on his back, resting inside the crater left behind by the impact. His trembling hands reached into his robes and took a potion out. Using his teeth to remove the cork, he began drinking it immediately.

"Urgg…much be-"

"Warning. Massive spike of energy." V's voice was heard again.

"What now…" Voldemort gasped when he saw what it was.

A meteor, just like the one he saw during his mental attack, had just appeared from between the black clouds and was falling directly towards him.

"No…this can't be!" However, that was not all. More meteors appeared almost immediately.

Dozens, or perhaps hundreds. Too many to count. This was a meteor shower. A Grand Sorcery capable of ending an entire civilization if it were used in the real world.

"This is ridiculous," Voldemort muttered. This went beyond what a wizard should be capable of doing. "Where is he getting all this power from?!"

Voldemort knew better. Wizards and witches had very limited access to magical energies and could only use whatever was nearby, unless they could pull more from a magical artifact, like the magical hat on top of his head.

But Harry was not using any artifact. And even if he was, Voldemort was sure that he didn't have anything that could be compared to V, which was in his power.

"How…" Voldemort asked.
