Mephisto stared at the Doctor. For a kid his age, he was already rolling his eyes hard.
"Doctor, could you please stop talking nonsense? Mr. Yu Jin was just severely overstimulated. Physically he's completely fine."
"So his soul's beyond saving, yeah?" Kevin immediately followed up.
Mephisto glanced left, then right, and finally clenched his teeth to keep himself from snapping.
"You two—stop making jokes like that! Mr. Yu Jin is perfectly healthy!"
"Anyway, please take good care of him these next few days. I'm busy, so I'll be leaving first!"
Watching Mephisto storm out of the tent in a huff, Stelle raised an eyebrow. "You guys pissed off our little doctor."
"It's the Doctor's fault."
"It's Kevin's fault."
They pointed at each other in perfect unison.
"What great chemistry. You two should just get married already," Stelle clapped and laughed.
"No thanks, and I have a girlfriend!" Kevin grinned smugly.
That dazzling smile practically screamed I'm winning at life.
Then Kevin remembered something and looked at the Doctor.
"Still, compared to you, I'm nothing. Look at you—welcome, waiting, 'we have lots of time.' So romantic."
The Doctor jabbed a finger at Kevin. "I challenge you to a duel!"
"Then I'll fight you with one hand."
Doctor: "Don't look down on me! You're a dragon, I'm a dragon—we're not that different!"
"You're a dragon too? Fine. Just so you know, when I beat you, my Sovereign Flame will be fully unleashed."
How selfish can you be?!
While the two bickered, Talulah stepped into the tent from outside.
"Yu Jin… how is he?"
She asked quietly, her gaze settling on the figure lying on the bed.
"He cooked himself too long. The pain fried his brain a little," Stelle said off to the side.
"Ah… is it serious?" Talulah asked, worried.
Stelle: "Not that serious. It's not even his first time doing this. Just… never this bad before."
In the past, whenever Yu Jin released Rhine, he either died in a flash of agony, or canceled it and endured the single strongest shockwave from the blast.
This time, to completely disperse the catastrophe, he mobilized every ounce of his defenses and tanked the center of the explosion for seven full seconds—maintaining Rhine for a whole seven seconds.
"He's done this often before?" Talulah asked curiously.
"Uh… at least twice."
"I see… then can I go take a look?" Talulah gestured toward Yu Jin.
Stelle extended a hand. "Be my guest."
Talulah walked to the bedside and looked down at Yu Jin, eyes closed, still murmuring about saving the city.
There weren't any wounds on him. His skin looked smooth, like he'd never fought at all.
Because he'd burned everything off.
Talulah's curious gaze traveled over him.
She hadn't forgotten the dragon she saw before the sun exploded.
But now it was gone.
The horns on his head were gone.
The wings on his back were gone.
Even the tail was gone.
Had she imagined it?
No. Talulah was certain she hadn't.
She saw a dragon.
A… winged Draconic?
So why was there nothing left now?
As she stared intently, Kevin and the Doctor behind her had stopped fooling around.
They stood with Stelle, all three wearing the kindest, most knowing smiles.
Stelle: "What are you grinning about?"
Doctor: "Weren't you the ones who started smiling first?"
Kevin: "Hmph. You two just don't get it."
Stelle: "Get what?"
"Love at first sight," Kevin said, lifting his chin like he'd fallen into some nostalgic memory.

"What's wrong with this guy?" the Doctor frowned.
"Love at first sight? Not 'love at first sight'—more like 'lust at first glance,'" Stelle raised an eyebrow.
