Nearby, Rhodes operators looked blankly around, still trying to understand what happened.

Amiya stared at Priestess with tangled emotions.

They had ignited conflicts. Spread chaos.
Now Rhodes Island could never again uphold its old ideals.
Amiya should've been furious… but Priestess merely turned and smiled at her.

Amiya didn't know.
She looked instead at the one she had missed day and night.
She ran—walk, jog, sprint—then threw herself into his arms.
"Doctor… long time no see."
The Doctor looked at the small trembling girl in his arms.
The words Who are you? died in his throat.
Definitely not because a bat and a sword were pressed to his backside.
Ember/Xing: Say the wrong thing and we'll stab it in.
"It's okay. It's okay now." The Doctor patted her gently, voice soft.
Ember and Xing lowered their weapons, satisfied.
After a long hug, Amiya released him, eyes red.
Then elite operators approached.
At their head was Logos.
He looked at the Doctor, then Amiya.
"Amiya, do you know what happened? And…"
He looked behind them at Rhodes Island—now split apart. Some operators clutched their faces in despair.
Logos' question pulled Amiya's gaze back to Priestess.
And that drew the other operators' eyes too.
The air sharpened into a blade.
The Doctor stepped between both sides.
"Hey, hey, calm down…"
He wasn't calming Rhodes Island.
He was afraid Priestess would get annoyed and start another war.
They didn't have another SSR to pull.
Ace stepped forward, voice steady.
"Doctor… long time no see. Do you know what happened?"
His eyes were clearly on Priestess.
Priestess said nothing—only smiled at the Doctor, waiting.
The Doctor tried to signal his teammates for help.
They all turned away to admire the scenery.
"You three bastards!" he howled in his head.
In the distance:
Kevin: "Is this okay?"
Ember: "Go on, brave savior. Save our buddy."
Xing: "I can't handle it."
Ember: "Believe in him. Belief needs no reason."
Xing: "You know I always trust my teammates."
Kevin: "Same."
Ember: "Then let's pray for him."
Praying.
Doctor: "Those three are useless. Only I can save this world. See? I'm MVP!"
Memory of that MVP glowed in his brain.
He forced his thoughts to focus.
Rhodes Island and Priestess were now tangled beyond repair.
Priestess had turned all of Rhodes' past work to ash—worse, even harmed their reputation.
No one could swallow that.
But could Rhodes Island fight Priestess?
Obviously not.
If they could, the four of them wouldn't be here.
"How do I do this… brain, I order you to think!"
As his sweat poured, a communicator on Ember's belt lit up.
Ember raised it, grinning. "Yo, Talulah. How's it going over there?"
Her urgent voice blasted through.
"Ember! Ursus is moving! They're using Lungmen's invasion as an excuse to start a war!"
"Their army is closing in! If this keeps up, war could still happen!"

"To survive, you must unite. Only then will you find even a sliver of possibility among infinite outcomes."
He lowered his hand, looking at their stunned faces.
"I don't care how many of you know me or believe me."
