Joseph moved closer, planted a kiss on the old lady's cheek, and said, "Cecile, happy birthday."
The kid spoke?
The kid actually spoke!
Joseph's unexpected words left Cecile and everyone from my family completely shocked.
"Joseph! Joseph can talk now?"
Tears flooded Cecile's eyes instantly as she cradled the child's face, studying him over and over.
Two long years. We'd been waiting for this day, when our boy would finally find his voice.
Today, our prayers were answered!
The child speaking was the most precious gift imaginable!
"Amazing! Joseph really can talk now! He just wished you happy birthday!" Camila burst out with joy.
"My son can speak now!" I was just as stunned, never expecting this moment to hit so suddenly.
"Joseph! Cecile's wonderful great-grandson..."
Cecile clutched Joseph close, overwhelmed with emotion. From this day forward, who would dare ridicule or dismiss her great-grandson?
