"Next up, I'll be performing a poetry recitation called 'Trish Flowers Bloom'!" Kitty declared, her voice brimming with excitement.
The instant she said "Trish," I noticed Leonardo's head snap up. The word seemed to grab his complete focus as he lifted his gaze toward the stage.
Kitty caught sight of his attention, and I could practically feel her heart pounding with triumph. This was exactly what she'd been angling for.
She launched into the poem with dramatic flair, emphasizing every mention of "Trish" with sultry emotion.
To everyone else, it was simply poetry, but I watched Leonardo's expression change. Each word seemed to transport him somewhere else entirely—those intense memories from five years back were written all over his face. The nights we'd shared, filled with passion and tenderness... the woman he apparently couldn't erase from his mind.
