Veronica's POV
"Why should we leave? Is this The Peninsula Spa your family's?" Camila snapped, clearly fed up with Ashley's relentless arrogance and her habit of throwing around her family's influence like it meant something to everyone.
"It's not my family's, but my mommy is a good friend of Nina, the owner of The Peninsula Spa. So, we came first, and you should just stop trying to squeeze in here!" Ashley shot back with that smug tone that made my skin crawl.
"Sorry, we made a reservation here today!" Camila shoved past Ashley and dragged me toward the sofa.
Rage flashed across Ashley's face as she snatched a glass of juice from the nearby table and hurled it straight at Camila.
My reflexes kicked in instantly. I knocked the glass aside with a sharp slap, sending the juice cascading over Ashley's face and designer outfit instead.
"Ahh-"
Ashley's shriek pierced the air.
