Veronica's POV
"Sure, I can bring a friend, can't I?"
I shot a glance at Camila standing next to me.
Camila was doing her best to look composed, but inside she was practically bouncing off the walls. Her dream guy was finally noticing us! She wasn't about to let this chance slip through her fingers.
"Absolutely, you're both welcome," Heath said with a warm smile.
Camila was internally celebrating. Finally! Time to score his number!
"Perfect! What time does it start?"
"Early afternoon," Heath replied.
"Sounds good. Camila and I will head over together and meet you there. Just text me the location."
"Will do," Heath said before heading off—he still had surgeries on his schedule.
Camila and I made our way toward the patient rooms.
As we walked, Camila linked her arm through mine and immediately launched into a rapid-fire interrogation about Heath.
"So you're crushing on my senior?" I asked, picking up on her obvious excitement.
