Leonardo's POV
"What news?"
I turned to look at Camila.
Camila waved the phone in her hand, grinning. "I promised I'd help you reach Veronica, right? Well, mission accomplished!"
"How?"
The only thing that could ease my rage and settle my racing heart was anything involving Veronica.
"Tomorrow I'm bringing the agency models to a fashion showcase, so I asked Veronica to come watch, and she said yes!"
"I've set up the seating perfectly. Veronica gets seat 7, you get seat 8—right next to each other.
"Here's your ticket! That's all I can manage for you. The rest is on you.
"You better make it count! Win her back!"
I grabbed the ticket from her and checked the seat number. Finally, Camila had pulled through!
Knowing I'd see Veronica tomorrow sent a spark of hope through my chest.
When I returned to Nelson Manor, Hunt was waiting outside.
My expression stayed frozen, and seeing Hunt didn't change that. I walked past him toward the entrance.
"Leonardo!"
