Leonardo's POV
I pressed my lips softly against hers, testing her response with a gentle kiss. When Veronica didn't pull away, heat surged through me, urging me deeper.
I drew back just enough to study her face, my eyes burning with affection. Within seconds, an overwhelming tide of love crashed over me.
The hospital room door opened, and Ryan stepped in with Rosalind, bringing all three kids for a visit. They froze at the doorway, catching us in our intimate moment.
The boys stood motionless while Ryan shot Rosalind a startled look. Rosalind quickly pressed her hands over Daniel and Brad's eyes as Ryan did the same with Joseph. Both adults awkwardly averted their gazes.
"What's he doing to Mom?"
Daniel pushed Rosalind's hand aside and charged toward me, grabbing my neck with surprising force.
"Get away from my mommy!"
Seeing the kids witness our kiss made Veronica's face flush with embarrassment.
