Veronica's POV
The Supreme Private Room at NO.8 Elysian was everything I'd heard it would be - pure luxury from floor to ceiling. Juliette bounced around like a kid in a candy store, already picking out songs for our karaoke session.
"Veronica, are you really that tight with Hardy?" Heath couldn't hide his curiosity.
I gave him a casual smile. "What if I told you I've never met Hardy before in my life? Would you buy that?"
"But he just treated you like..."
"Who knows? Maybe the old guy's trying to charm me. You know how these wealthy men operate."
I'd actually mistaken Hardy for Leonardo's father earlier. But Heath, recalling that young guy in the white suit from the elevator, seemed to realize I genuinely didn't know Hardy. Still, one question lingered: why was Hardy rolling out the red carpet for me?
