Harold's POV
I delivered my words with complete conviction, my stone-serious face giving no hint of deception.
I couldn't tell if Phoebe bought it. She simply gave a nod, walked straight to the car waiting at the curb, pulled open the door, and slid inside.
Lucas and Alan shared a meaningful glance before looking my way as I wrapped up my conversation with Alistair. Lucas moved closer to Alan, a wicked smile spreading across his face as he whispered, "Well, well, looks like Phoebe's really ticked off this time, doesn't it?"
Alan gave a knowing nod. "If Harold can't patch things up with Phoebe now, I seriously doubt he'll manage to win her back. I've heard those 'win back your ex' situations can get pretty wild."
Lucas's grin widened. "You excited to witness that spectacle?"
Alan nodded enthusiastically. "Absolutely! I'm dying to see this play out."
