Harold's laughter rumbled as he swept me into his embrace. "Having second thoughts? Sweetheart, you know exactly how creative I can get when making people miserable. Better play nice."
We bantered back and forth while making our way toward my villa.

The study curtains on the second floor didn't draw shut until Phoebe and Harold had vanished from view completely. Julian's impatience burst forth, "Dale, what the hell did Harold show you? Why the sudden change of heart?
"We had a deal - make his life difficult until he backed off. One hour locked in that study with him and now you're practically gift-wrapping Phoebe with a bow?"
Dale studied Julian's frantic expression, exhaled slowly, then pulled up a file on his phone that Harold had forwarded. "Look at this yourself."
Julian snatched the device, scanning the contents intently. His frenzied look transformed as he stuttered, "This... this is..."
