I stayed quiet for a moment, then tapped my temple. "Everyone keeps going on about how brilliant I am, so why act shocked that I worked out Buck's back?"
Really, when they got all secretive and made me play guessing games at a time like this, whoever they were talking about had to be connected to me—and to whoever's been pulling strings behind the scenes.
Harold shot his buddies a sharp look. "She's got a point. You're selling her short. Besides, she would've discovered Buck was back on her own anyway."
He wasn't wrong. I had another ace up my sleeve—my identity as the Legendary Hacker Eden. I could dig up almost any information I wanted.
Well, except for that underground lab mess.
Lucas and Alan shared a glance before both threw up their hands. "Fair enough, we overlooked that. Let's get back to business.
So Phoebe, now that Buck's returned, what's your move?"
