Ajax crouched in the woods, throat tight as he witnessed me drop four massive guys with four bullets in under thirty seconds.
Just like always. I hadn't changed a bit.
Still merciless as hell.
Ajax and his crew remembered joining the HDA Jackson Mercenary Base, getting assigned to me for training, only to discover I was some teenage girl.
Their cocky attitudes earned them a one-way ticket to training hell that nearly shattered them.
Later, they tagged along on my assessment mission when everything went sideways, trapping our whole team in some godforsaken jungle.
That's when I took out twenty-one hostiles solo and carved us a path to freedom.
So yeah, even though the cave guards were battle-hardened mercs, they didn't stand a chance against me.
The gunfire brought reinforcements streaming out of the cave.
"Someone's out there! Take her down!" The guards poured out, faces twisting when they spotted their dead buddies scattered on the ground.
