Harold knew exactly what I was about to say. Despite my struggles, he silenced me with another mind-numbing kiss.
Our mouths moved together with growing intensity, heat flooding the bedroom. My pajama top slipped from one shoulder during our embrace, exposing tempting pale skin.
When Harold finally pulled away, I was breathless.
Morning light filtered through the partially opened window. In that golden glow, my eyes were hazy with desire. Still catching my breath, I met Harold's smoldering gaze, dark eyes burning with want.
The firm pressure against my stomach proved just how much control Harold was exercising.
His hair was disheveled, and his typically commanding, gorgeous features looked unusually tender. "Sweetheart, let's fly to Heather tomorrow and make it official," he murmured.
My brain short-circuited. It took several beats for his words to sink in.
I lifted my gaze to study his face directly.
