Phoebe's POV
Even though I had my doubts about what Harold was telling me, I decided to trust him anyway.
If he tried to break his promise tonight, I'd just throw him out.
Harold looked down, masking the dangerous gleam in his eyes as he smoothly changed the subject. "We've got time. Let me hold you while we catch a few more hours of sleep."
"I'm done sleeping. You need to get up too."
I couldn't risk falling asleep again.
Harold was still eyeing me like prey.
"Alright." Harold didn't argue and climbed out of bed without complaint.
We got dressed quickly and headed over to the Lorenzo family villa to have breakfast with my two uncles.
Breakfast was way more elaborate than normal, packed with healing foods meant to restore energy and blood. It made me feel totally awkward.
My neck was covered in hickeys from Harold—so many that even makeup couldn't cover them up. I ended up having to wear a turtleneck.
