Surrounded by his bodyguards, Dave scrambled into a car and sped toward the mountain behind the villa.
Inside the vehicle, Dave's face was dark with fury, two bodyguards flanking him in the suffocating silence. His eyes burned with a wild, dangerous gleam as he stared ahead.
"Did you figure out who sent them?" Dave demanded.
The bodyguard in the passenger seat twisted around to face him.
"Boss, based on our intel, they're Harold's people. The two leading the charge are Malcolm and Alistair."
"We had men positioned to intercept them! Where the hell are they? Why haven't they checked in? Are they all dead?!" Dave's voice rose with each word, his eyes blazing red as he glared at the bodyguard.
The bodyguard flinched under Dave's wrath, stammering an explanation. "I'm sorry, Boss. No word from them yet—I figured they hadn't run into Harold's team. Never expected his men to track us down first."
