Chapter 51 - Chapter 51: S.H.I.E.L.D. actually arrested Captain America

Captain America had just woken up, so naturally, he didn't recognize Iron Man at this moment. However, his first impression of Iron Man wasn't particularly favorable.

This was because the man seemed too arrogant. That arrogance wasn't just evident in his extremely impolite words and actions; it was deeply ingrained in his very bones.

Captain America cast a questioning glance at Nick Fury.

Nick Fury immediately began to introduce him to Captain America: "Captain, this is Tony Stark..."

"Playboy, billionaire, genius scientist, Tony Stark," Iron Man interrupted Nick Fury, introducing himself to Captain America.

He then added, "And, by the way, one of your saviors."

As soon as Iron Man spoke, his arrogance was once again on full display, making Captain America dislike him even more. As for being a savior, Captain America didn't quite understand.

However, Captain America knew that it was the bald man in front of him who had rescued him from the distant Arctic Ocean, so he once again looked at Nick Fury with a questioning gaze.

"Stark also participated in the search and rescue," Nick Fury explained to Captain America.

"Mr. Stark, thank you for everything you've done for me!"

Captain America was much more polite. Although he didn't particularly like Iron Man, he still thanked him formally.

The two shook hands briefly, a mere formality.

"So, Stark, what's your purpose for being here?"

After everyone had greeted each other, Nick Fury, with his single eye, stared intently at Iron Man and asked.

"Nothing, just here to check on the Captain's condition, that's all," Iron Man shrugged, saying with an understated air.

"So this is your reason for wantonly invading S.H.I.E.L.D. and monitoring S.H.I.E.L.D.?" Nick Fury said to Iron Man, annoyed.

"Nick Fury, you can't blame me, your S.H.I.E.L.D. firewall is terrible!" Iron Man was completely unfazed, with a look of utter self-righteousness.

"Alright, Captain, you've already greeted him. Can he leave now?" Nick Fury said to Iron Man with a dark face, unceremoniously issuing an eviction notice.

"I was just about to leave," Iron Man stood up, but still looked at Nick Fury meaningfully, saying, "You're the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. I don't think I need to remind you about certain things, right? You should know what's what, right?"

Captain America was completely confused by Iron Man's words, but Nick Fury knew that Iron Man was certainly referring to the future information obtained from the Q&A system.

In the future, Captain America was a crucial figure, so Nick Fury naturally had to make some corresponding arrangements in advance.

"Just mind your own business, Stark!" Nick Fury retorted rather impolitely, "I know what I'm doing."

"Captain Rogers, we'll meet again."

Iron Man then glanced at Captain America again, and after dropping that remark, he didn't linger and left directly.

[A new round of questions begins. All participants, please prepare yourselves.]

However, just at this moment, a synthesized electronic voice suddenly rang out.

At the same time, inside the office hall, a very familiar electronic screen suddenly appeared.

Nick Fury and Iron Man both perked up. Months had passed, and the Q&A system had finally reappeared.

Both of them were veterans who had already experienced the Q&A system, and they no longer had any doubts about it.

Therefore, they took it very seriously.

Only Captain America looked utterly bewildered. He looked at Nick Fury with great confusion and asked, "What is this? Is it a psychological test for me, or a mental evaluation?"

Captain America still thought this Q&A system was something Nick Fury had set up,

and he could actually understand and accept such a thing.

After all, he was an old man who had slept for seventy years, and a veteran who had killed countless enemies, completely out of sync and disconnected from this era.

Psychological evaluations and the like were also very necessary.

"No, Captain, even I'm not entirely sure what this Q&A system is all about," Nick Fury said to Captain America with a serious expression, "but it's a mysterious power that transcends this era. We only knew you were still alive through this Q&A system."

"In a way, this Q&A system actually saved you."

Nick Fury made the Q&A system sound so mystical, which only made Captain America more bewildered.

No matter how he looked at it, wasn't this just a projection method more advanced than their era?

"Captain, the Q&A system can reveal some future information to us through answering questions," Iron Man added at this point, "So I suggest you answer carefully."

Reveal future information?

Captain America could hardly believe his ears. Could such a thing really happen?

However, looking at Nick Fury and Iron Man's serious and solemn expressions, they didn't seem to be joking.

[Please listen to the question: Why did Alexander Pierce order the arrest of Captain America, Steve Rogers?]

[A. He wanted to control Captain America and replicate his serum.]

[B. Captain America refused to disclose information about Nick Fury before his death.]

[C. Captain America assisted his friend Bucky Barnes in criminal activities.]

[D. Captain America refused to sign the Sokovia Accords.]

[Friendly Reminder: Correct answerers will receive a plasma lightsaber; incorrect answerers will have one of their personal attributes randomly deducted, including but not limited to knowledge, experience, skills, possessions, etc...]

The first question was explosive enough, revealing a crucial piece of information to the few people present: Captain America would be arrested in the future!

Who was Captain America?

He was a symbol of the American spirit, a national idol, a war hero from World War II. He should be revered by all of America, so how could he be arrested?

Captain America, in particular, found it even more unbelievable.

He had dedicated his entire life to this country, never doing anything that would betray it, yet in the future, he would face such a fate?

That arrogant guy named Tony Stark said the Q&A system could reveal his future. Was this really his future?

The atmosphere in the room became somewhat heavy for a time.

"Who is this Alexander Pierce? What agency is he the head of?" Iron Man was the first to speak, breaking the silence.

He pointed at Pierce in the question on the screen and turned to ask Nick Fury.

Alexander Pierce, who could order Captain America's arrest, must be an extremely influential person. Nick Fury, as the head of S.H.I.E.L.D. and a veteran of intelligence, most likely knew him.

"He's my former superior, the former director of S.H.I.E.L.D., and now a World Security Council minister," Nick Fury replied with a solemn expression.

"Your S.H.I.E.L.D. would actually arrest the Captain?" Iron Man was a bit provoked.
