Chapter 48 - Chapter 48: The Executives' Bounties

On the deck of the Beasts Pirates' ship, sunlight spilled across the wooden planks as the sea breeze carried a salty, damp air.

Kaidou's massive frame sat in a specially-made chair, his rough fingers holding a stack of fresh Bounty Posters. The papers rustled softly in the gentle wind, as if whispering important news.

"Captain, it's not just you - Brother King, Big Fatty Queen, Brother Bullet, Brother Urouge, Brother Moria, Brother Sebastian, and Brother Gavin all have Bounty Posters now. Only I don't." Enel's voice grew progressively quieter, his small face drooping with evident frustration. He hung his head, lightly kicking the deck with his toes, looking utterly dejected.

Hearing the commotion, the Executives stopped their training and gathered around.

Queen was the first to rush forward, fuming as he yelled at Enel: "Hey hey hey, you brat! Why are they all 'Brother' while I'm 'Big Fatty'? And I'll say it again - this isn't fat, it's voluptuous!" He puffed out his round belly as he spoke to Enel.

"But you're clearly a big fatty!" Enel retorted without backing down, even making a deliberate face.

The surrounding Executives couldn't help but laugh, causing Queen's face to turn even redder.

He waved his short, thick arms, trying to catch the mischievous brat, but Enel nimbly dodged behind Kaidou, peeking out with just half his head to continue taunting.

Kaidou watched the scene unfold and let out an even heartier laugh. He reached out to ruffle Enel's hair, then patted Queen's shoulder: "Urorororo... Don't take it so seriously with a child."

The sea breeze gently swept across the flagship deck of the Beasts Pirates as sunlight pierced through the clouds, casting dappled shadows on the planks. Kaidou slowly unfolded the first Bounty Poster, the paper appearing particularly small in his enormous hand.

[Beasts Pirates Executive, Fallen Angel King, Bounty 150,000,000 Berry, Must Be Captured Alive]

The corner of Kaidou's mouth lifted slightly, revealing a satisfied smile. He continued to the next one:

[Beasts Pirates Executive, Evil Scientist Queen, Bounty 110,000,000 Berry, Dead or Alive]

[Beasts Pirates Executive, War Maniac Bullet, Bounty 45,000,000 Berry, Dead or Alive]

[Beasts Pirates Executive, Sword Master Gecko Moria, Bounty 35,000,000 Berry, Dead or Alive]

[Beasts Pirates Executive, Strange Monk Urouge, Bounty 30,000,000 Berry, Dead or Alive]

[Beasts Pirates Executive, Scorpion Fish Giant Sebastian, Bounty 20,000,000 Berry, Dead or Alive]

[Beasts Pirates Executive, Bloodthirsty Sword Master Commodore Gavin, Bounty 20,000,000 Berry, Dead or Alive]

Kaidou carefully examined each Bounty Poster, his eyes moving between the numbers and remarks. When he finished the last one, he nodded with satisfaction and turned his gaze to the Executives gathered around him.

"Come take a look at your bounties!" Kaidou's voice echoed across the deck like thunder. "As Pirates, bounties don't completely represent strength, but they are a form of recognition from the outside world."

He handed the bounty posters to the corresponding Executives one by one. When King received his own bounty poster, his expression beneath the mask was inscrutable; Queen eagerly snatched his bounty poster and whistled triumphantly; Bullet took the paper with a furrowed brow, seemingly dissatisfied with the number on it.

Enel, standing to the side, stood on tiptoe and gazed longingly at the bounty posters in the adults' hands. Kaidou noticed the young apprentice's gaze and let out a hearty laugh: "Kid, want a bounty poster? Then get stronger quickly!" He extended his massive hand and gently patted Enel's head, his movements surprisingly tender.

Enel looked up, his eyes shining with determination: "I'll definitely work hard! When I get my bounty poster, it'll definitely be higher than that fatso Queen's!"

"You brat!" Queen hopped angrily, but a faint smile unconsciously crept onto the corners of his mouth. The other Executives were also amused by Enel's childish frankness, and the deck was instantly filled with a cheerful atmosphere.

Bullet frowned as he looked at his bounty poster: "Why is my bounty so much lower than King's and Queen's?" His voice carried obvious dissatisfaction. As a warrior who once dominated the battlefield, a 45 million Berry bounty indeed left him feeling somewhat disappointed.

King quietly stared at his bounty poster, his gaze lingering on the words "Must Be Captured Alive." A complex light flashed in his eyes: "The reason my bounty is this high is probably because of my race." He spoke these words extremely softly, yet they instantly froze the surrounding air.

The Executives then realized that King's race had always been hunted by the World Government, and now he might be the only survivor left. The cheerful atmosphere on the deck immediately dissipated, replaced by a heavy silence.

"Muhahaha!" Queen suddenly burst into laughter, breaking the silence, "My bounty is this high probably because my prison break with Big Brother Kaidou was exposed." He proudly shook his bounty poster in his hand, trying to lighten the mood.

Kaidou slowly stood up, his tall figure casting a long shadow in the sunlight. He looked around at each Executive, finally resting his gaze on King: "King, don't be sad. We'll repay these grudges bit by bit sooner or later."

Then he turned to Bullet: "45 million Berry is already quite good for a first bounty. Your strength is definitely worth more than this number, but you've had too few opportunities to show your skills, and the Marines don't yet understand your true capabilities."

"Hmm." King nodded.

"Is that so? It seems I'll need to make a good showing on the seas from now on." Bullet said upon hearing this.

Moria played with his bounty poster, lost in thought: "35 million... It seems my strength hasn't attracted enough attention from the Marines yet."

Urouge stroked his chin with great satisfaction: "30 million... Hahaha, not bad for a first bounty."

Sebastian and Gavin exchanged glances, both seeing unyielding fighting spirit in each other's eyes. Although their bounty amounts were the lowest, reaching 20 million for just their first bounty was also quite impressive.

Enel stood to the side, watching the adults discuss, secretly making a determination: "I must redouble my efforts and get my own bounty poster as soon as possible!"

The sea breeze swept across the deck once more, rustling the bounty posters in the Executives' hands.

Kaidou gazed at the distant horizon, his eyes gleaming with ambition: "This is only the beginning. One day, the entire world will remember the name of the Beasts Pirates!"

The Executives straightened their backs in unison, their eyes igniting with fighting spirit.

They knew these bounty posters represented not just the Navy's pursuit, but their status and influence on the high seas. From this day forward, they would stir up even greater waves across these oceans under the banner of the Beasts Pirates.
