The guards opened Anna's cell door, and she expected another round of questioning.
Instead, she froze.
"Anna…"
Her mother, Stephanie, stepped inside, arms folded tight like she was holding herself together.
Anna's eyes burned immediately. "Mom?"
"What were you thinking?" Stephanie snapped, her voice sharp but trembling. "Running away like that? Do you have any idea the hell you put us through?"
Anna swallowed hard. Her throat felt like sandpaper.
"…Where's Dad?"
Stephanie looked away, rubbing her forehead like she was trying to push the anger back into place.
"He didn't come," she said quietly. "He's still… furious. He said you embarrassed the family. That your little stunt nearly cost us our clearance."
Anna's heart dropped.
"Mom… give me a break. Please."
"A break?" Stephanie hissed softly. "Anna, soldiers risked their lives trying to find you. You took a gun. You stole supplies. Do you know how easily they could've shot you?"
"I know," Anna whispered, tears rolling now. "But… I was happy. Out there."
Stephanie's expression cracked—not anger, but something closer to fear.
"I just want you safe," she said, voice breaking. "Even if you hate me for it."
Anna wiped her cheeks.
"I don't hate you, Mom… I just—"
Her voice failed.
Stephanie stepped forward and pulled her into a tight, desperate hug.
"Just stay alive," her mother whispered. "We'll figure out everything else later."
Guards approached, signaling the end of the visit.
Stephanie pulled away reluctantly, giving Anna one last look filled with fear, frustration, and love.

Two guards escorted both of Tenya's parents to a small visiting room.
Tenya was dragged in a minute later, looking exhausted, arms scratched, face bruised.
His mother immediately rushed forward.
"Tenya! Baby, we were so worried—"
"Mom, oh my god… give me a break," Tenya groaned, slumping into the chair.
"Give you a—?!"
His father slammed his palm onto the table.
"You disappear into the infected zone and you want us to give you a break?"
Tenya stared stubbornly at the floor.
"Do you know how terrified we were?" his mother said. "People DIE out there."
"I know," Tenya mumbled. "I lived it."
His father leaned in closer.
"You walked off like some hero. Do you think you're invincible? Do you think consequences don't apply to you?"
Tenya clenched his jaw.
"I just wanted freedom. Just for once."
His mother's face softened.
"Oh sweetheart… we're not trying to trap you. We just can't lose you."
Tenya's father sighed, rubbing his eyes.
"I'm angry because I thought we'd never see you again."
Tenya finally looked up at them—tired, guilty, but still stubborn.
"…I'm sorry," he muttered.
And for the first time since entering, both parents visibly relaxed.

Their mom, Amara, arrived wrapped in a threadbare shawl, her face worn with worry.
She approached the guards with trembling hands.
"Please," she begged softly. "Let me see my children. Both of them."
"They're in separate cells," the guard grunted.
"Then bring them to the same room," she pleaded. "I just… I just need to see them together."
After a tense pause, the sergeant nodded.
Minutes later, Aiko was brought in first—limping slightly, hair messy, dried blood still staining her sleeves.
She immediately stiffened, seeing her mother.
"Mom…"
Before Aiko could say more, the guards dragged Izuku in behind her.
His lip was split, and one eye half-swollen.
Amara gasped.
"What did they do to you?!"
Izuku forced a small smile. "It's nothing, Mom."
Aiko stepped forward, voice shaking with anger.
"They beat him when we got here. They beat all of us. And they left Mirko in the woods to die."
Izuku looked at her sharply.
"Aiko… don't."
"No!" she snapped. "She deserves to know."
Amara's jaw trembled. She pulled both of her children into her arms, clutching them like she could keep them whole by force alone.
"I don't care what rules you broke," she whispered.
"I'm just glad you're alive."
Aiko broke completely then, burying her face into her mother's shoulder.
Izuku held on silently, blinking fast as tears threatened.
"You two are all I have," Amara murmured. "Don't ever disappear on me again…"
Aiko sniffed.
"We weren't running away from you, Mom… we were running from here."
Amara's lips tightened—but she didn't argue.
She just held them tighter.
A guard tapped the door.
"Time's up."
Amara cupped their faces one last time.
"I'm not giving up on you. Either of you."
Then she was pulled away while Aiko and Izuku watched, helpless, as the door slammed between them once again.
