I decided to stay for the entire campfire. Justin has been flirting with my sister all night. I had to third wheel all night long. I couldn't focus on Adithya. I mean sister comes first. Everyone was amused by shravya's dance trickled with Adithya's song.
I was purely abashed by justin's persistent stance towards shravya .We perched in a whirl around the campfire tuning into their performance. Justin suddenly came and sat on a vacant seat near me practically drooling at her.
"Stop that!!She already has a boyfriend" I said to justin whose face turned into a widespread smirk at my remark.
"And he is another caste... Maybe you should worry more about him than me" He said pointing to himself.Justin was right about that..but how dare he throw that right on my face!!?. Annoying jerk.
"Yeah.. whatever." I said and turned my face away.
" So your friend is the legendary prince of assholes?" I asked wanting to know more about him, to which he chuckled.
"Well..we are cousins" he said shrugging and I raised my eyebrows. How is that even biologically possible?!.
"I am actually the adopted son of the Malhotra group. I chose to keep my caste as it is my only identity from my native orphanage to find out more about my parents" he answered.
"you never said that!!" I mean we were childhood friends up until now and hopefully will stay forever..but he never cared to say that.
"Wait...so is his parents really a police?" I asked looking at Adithya who was done his music.
"No... but his father is a powerful heir to one of the richest companies around the world." That lying jerk.
"You have zero chance with me princess" That was none other than the prince of hell himself. Although he might be right. I mean he is filthy rich and his parents might not accept me. Although he is right, I can't give up on him just because of the elite background.
"I don't need a chance to be yours... I'm your princess" he laughed sarcasticaly as if I said something unattainable. Well I kind of understand that.
"Yeah right"he replied pinning needles through my heart.Justin suddenly walked away looking at Adithya and exchanging some secret message and he nodded. He was going after shravya and I was about to get up, when a hand pulled me back. I gazed back to see that it was Adithya. Is he finally responding to my tactics?. Should I concentrate on Adithya or my sister?.
"Just stay here for a second " he said and I gazed at his two innocent eyes. I finally have a chance with the prince.
"Done drooling?" he said releasing my hand with a straight face.
"Did I? Or was it you "he laughed shaking his head.
"Are you always like this?" He asked.
"Only with you!" I said and winked.
"Seriously, you are a big turn off" okay that drilled metals through my soul.
"Huuhh!!!How can you say that?" I said and earned a grin from him.
"Can we sit over there?" I asked pointing towards the seashore. He seemed reluctant but he obliged.
I stayed silent musing at the amazing chocolate face sitting near me. He was directly looking at the sea. An instant tidal wave came splashing across us making him shudder. He was suddenly shaking. I could see sweat all over his body. He was waving his hands like crazy and saying "help, help help " without stopping.
"Aditya?" I tapped him on the shoulder, really worried. He stopped what he was doing and said "Get lost" looking straight to my eyes with disgust. It was as if a ghost had entered his body.
I didn't move. I understood what was going on here. He was having an episode.Although I didn't know the reason for his trauma, I knew exactly what would soothe him.
I took my phone out and plugged in music to his ear. I saw him relaxing and started taking deep breaths. He closed his eyes and stayed there unwavering. This is the reason why I wanted to take science, to heal people and to be the greatest neurosurgeon the world has ever known. Tears were coming out of his eyes. I took my handkerchief and wiped his tears away.
"Thanks..that helped me alot ' he said and smiled while taking the earplugs off his ears.
"Wooah... someone's getting laid " that jerk. It was Justin.. whose face is lid up with a huge sheepish smile. I knew it..he might have went to see shravya.
"I hardly doubt it... she isn't my type " Adithya said smiling right into my eyes. Wow....back to square one. Does he enjoy turning me down.I mean I just helped him with his trauma.If this is how he is, then he definitely isn't my type either.
"I heard percy is coming tomorrow from shravya, why didn't you say anything Adithya?" Justin said.
"I needed to confirm," he said gazing at me. Was he expecting me to answer that!.
"Nevermind since it is anyway confirmed " he continued gazing at the sea"He is definitely fishy..there is definitely something wrong with him!! We have to find what it is and expose it to my sister, so that finally I could smack the sh**t out of his life." Adithya said with a satisfying sigh clenching his fists. I wish he truly finds it.
"Stay away from my sister justin " I said earning a chuckle from Adithya. Why is he chuckling?. I just wanted to change any topics related to percy.
"Geeze....just relax! I just want to know the whereabouts of percy's information and you were always coming between us." Justin said. Why is he bringing up percy again.
"Care to explain why you held hand?" I asked seemingly annoyed. He went silent.Ha cought red handed. Atleast the topic is no longer an issue.
As I hit the hay, anxiety rushed through my veins. Even if Adithya finds out about his dark side, he is an absolute terror. I truly wish that things would end up smoothly.
As the morning hue approached, tears blended my brain. He is coming today. I wish that there is a way to let all my pain ooze away. He shouldn't have treated me the way he had done to me. He broke my heart into a million pieces. I used to do all my assignments for him. Even when I was dealing with chronic asthma, i used to be the one to help him with his studies. I used to give my pocket money for his breakfast. I used to give all my precious study time for his phone calls. Only a person pursuing to be a doctor understand how precious those times are for them. All gone waste. Now I've to repeat my entrance exam and wait another year. Does he even know what he has done to me!. Jerk.
"Morning, sunshine" wait, why is the devil himself in my room?!.
"Percy?" Fear enthralled my heart's desire.
